Over this scorching weekend π₯ I completed the Walk π― Miles in May challenge πͺ Saturday I managed to walk just over half a marathon 13.5 mi π It's been a brilliant journey for me getting off the sofa, stopped feeling sorry for myself & focused on the now & what's possible π That's when the magic began - getting stronger with each step, and feeling mentally stronger to deliver on the promised challenge π― That's why goals should be announced to develop commitment and generate the drive from within, particularly in those low moments when the body is hurting and the mind is saying No!
I will continue to 31st May to see what's possible π
Thank you once again for your generous donations and your love β€οΈππ

Sponsored by Adidas, the same year they sponsored David Beckham and Muhammad Ali, yet he wasn't a sporting icon like them, or had their personalities. He wasn't rich or live in big mansion. He didn't even have an entourage, pandering to his whims! But he had the love of communities, all the world over. He was loved for his simple attire and lifestyle, for his love for simple things in life and his ability to remain humble despite all the accolades. I had the pleasure to run with him on numerous occasions and have normal conversations about life and its meaning. Never once did he talk about his achievements or legacy. He inspired by simply doing what he was good and and hard work, through a quite determination. He was a true model that will be much missed. RIP Fauja Singh, you're a true legend π

Sad to Archbishop Desmond Tutu has passed away, may he rest in peace π I had the honour and privilege to meet him on several occasions in the 1980s during our many anti apartheid rallies and events. Being active in the movement, it defined me and so many others. We were particularly inspired by Archbishop Tutu with his forthright words and smile for every occasion. He'll be missed....
