🚨🏁 2027… WE’RE BREAKING WITH TRADITION 🏁🚨

For as long as most of us can remember, the Bemsee season has begun in familiar surroundings.

You know the routine.

Winter ends.
The bikes come out.
Everyone remembers just how unfit they are.
And we head to Brands Hatch to kick off another season.

Well… not in 2027. 👀

Shock. Horror. Outrage. Someone check the rulebook.

For 2027, we’re doing something different.

For the first time in a very long time, Brands Hatch will NOT be the opening round of the Bemsee season.

Instead, we’ll be starting the year somewhere else entirely… 😏

And before you ask…

❌ We’re not telling you where.
❌ Not yet.
❌ No amount of commenting “go on, tell us” will work.

Probably.

All we’ll say is that the 2027 season is going to start with a bit of a change, and we think you’re going to like it.

New season. Different opening chapter. Same Bemsee.

So… where do you think we’re heading? 👀🏁

🏁 Now THIS is dedication to the cause… Meet Mike Brunsdon! 🏁

There are plenty of people who say they’re committed to helping others in the paddock… and then there’s Mike Brunsdon. 😂

Mike was originally due to move into his new house just before our Cadwell Park round. Boxes packed, plans made, keys almost in hand…

Except the house move was delayed.

Despite everything being up in the air, Mike still turned up at Cadwell and carried out his instructor duties as promised.

Fast forward a few weeks and, after living in his camper van for far longer than originally intended, the big day has finally arrived — Mike and his better half actually get the keys to their new home this Wednesday! 🏠🎉

Perfect timing, you’d think.

Well… almost.

Because while most people would probably spend the following couple of days moving furniture, unpacking boxes and trying to remember which box contains the kettle, Mike has already committed himself to Bemsee instruction at Snetterton on Friday.

So while his very understanding better half starts moving them into their new home…

Mike will be pointing the camper van towards Norfolk. 😂

And there’s another reason he needs the van.

Once his instructor duties are finished, Mike is making his Thunderbike Sport debut aboard a 600 this weekend! 🏍️💨

So, after several weeks of unintentionally living the full-time camper-van lifestyle, it turns out the timing couldn't have been much better after all.

House keys Wednesday.
Move-in begins.
Snetterton Friday.
Instructor duties.
Then his own race debut.

Priorities. 😂

But joking aside, this is exactly the sort of commitment that our Bemsee instructors regularly put in.

They give up their own time, often while juggling racing, work, family and everything else life throws at them, simply to help other riders improve, gain confidence and enjoy their racing.

Mike could quite reasonably have said, “Sorry lads, I’m moving house.”

Instead he’s effectively said:

“You crack on with the sofa love, I’ve got riders to instruct.” 😂

Massive thanks to Mike for the commitment —

Good luck with the house move…

…and possibly more importantly, good luck explaining all of this at home! 😂🏁

🏁 STILL NOT TOO LATE FOR A SNETTERTON ENTRY! 🏁

Round 8 is here this weekend and if you’ve been sitting on the fence, staring at the bike in the garage and telling yourself “I’ll probably give this one a miss…” — there’s still time to make a much better decision. 😎

We’re heading back to Snetterton 300 this weekend for the penultimate round of the 2026 season, and there are still opportunities to get yourself on the grid.

Whether you’re chasing championship points, looking for one more big weekend before the season disappears, or just fancy spending two days doing something considerably more exciting than mowing the lawn, get your entry in and come racing with us.

Solo bikes, sidecars, close racing, full grids of familiar faces and all the usual Bemsee paddock atmosphere — Snetterton is ready.

🏁 ROUND 8 — SNETTERTON 300 PREVIEW 🏁

The penultimate round of the 2026 Bemsee season is nearly here, and with championships, podium places and bragging rights still on the line, every point now matters!

We return to Snetterton 300 on 5–6 September for another huge weekend of racing, beginning with a full test day on Friday before timed qualifying gets underway from 9am on Saturday.

Across the weekend we have an enormous 37 races — 18 on Saturday and another 19 on Sunday — featuring:

🏍️ Yamaha Past Masters
🏍️ Thunderbike 500
🏍️ MRO Powerbikes, Clubman 1000 and Retro 1000
🏍️ Thunderbike Ultra, Extreme and Sport
🏍️ MRO and Rookie Minitwins
🏍️ Open 500 and L&W Rookie 600
🏍️ Naked bikes and SuperTwins
🏍️ ACU Team Green Junior Cup, Senior Ninjas and BMZRC 250 MZs
🏍️ Helmet City MRO Supersport and Clubman 600
🏍️ F1 and F2 Sidecars

As though that wasn’t enough, the British SuperKarts will also be joining us for three races counting towards their British Championship.

The MZ riders will also be fighting for the King of Zed’s Trophy, so somewhere among the championship pressure, split starts, sidecars and SuperKarts, we should manage to create a wonderfully calm and uneventful weekend…!!

Saturday evening’s prize-giving is planned for approximately 7.15–7.30pm at the podium beside Race Office, weather permitting, with medals and another excellent collection of sponsor-backed prizes to be awarded.

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RIDERS AND TEAMS

Paddock access begins at 5.30pm on Thursday 3 September. Please do not arrive early, as the previous event must fully vacate the venue before access can begin.

No race engines may be started before 8.30am on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

The Meeting File now includes the latest timetable, Final Instructions, Friday test timetable, paddock plan, garage information, circuit map, practice-start information and details of trophies and prizes.

Please read everything before travelling:

Spectators are very welcome, but admission tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Only one round will remain after Snetterton, so expect the racing to be close, the championships to tighten and the calculators to be working overtime.

Snetterton is ready. We’ll see you there!

Damn!

This is going out of control faster than a Gixer with a stuck throttle!

Less than forty-eight hours after our five-figure update we've now had Warren Pearce from MRA race leathers join the party with an offer to supply a custom-made and fitted suit for the successful rider which is valued at £900.

Paul Haskins from LS2 helmets reckons if you're good enough to beat the time then your noggin deserves the protection of one of their top-rated £500 GP Aero lids in the size and colour of your choice.

Mark Rooney from Capit tyre warmers UK has told us that if we say nice things about them then the parent company in Italy may donate a second set of warmers. So, buongiorno guys, it would be great to have you on board as well. Certainly, the worthy winner will have a lot of tyres that need warming.

Next weekend we'll be at Snetterton for the penultimate round of the year and then the following week entries for Brands Hatch go live.

We don't care where you've raced, who you've raced with, we just want this incredible prize to go to a genuine rookie who will have a great future in this sport we all love.

One race, one lap could change your future.

We know this is easily the biggest ever prize in British (or even world?) club racing. It may even be the biggest single prize in British Motorcycle racing.

Maybe our old friend Fred Clarke could answer that one.
