And what a way to finish pre-season!
Today we faced the U10s from Thurcroft in an absolute cracker of a game. Both teams left everything out on the pitch, with plenty of great football, big tackles, cracking saves and probably a few very tired legs by the end!
A brilliant performance from both sides and a fantastic game to watch.

So… that’s pre-season DONE! ✅
We’re officially prepped, polished and (hopefully) ready for the new season!

💰 £10 per person/entry – 50% to the winner 💰 the other 50% will be split between the Bramley Sunnyside Football U10 Blues & the Bramley Sunnyside Girl’s under 12’s - blues .

Once your payment is received you will be added to the Last Man standing WhatsApp group

Once joined the WhatsApp group please state your full name & which team you are linked with. If linked to the Bramley Blues U10 please state boys, if you are linked to the Bramley blues u12’s please state girls. This will allow to split the funds raised between the teams correctly.

Rules:
1. Each week all entrants must pick a Premier League / Championship / League 1 and League 2 team to win their game. (Saturday, Sunday & Monday games ONLY)
2. If entrants team win, they’re through to next round. Lose or draw, and the entrant is out of the competition.
3. Entry’s must be made by Thursday 7pm. If you do not select a team by the deadline, you are out.
4. Entry’s made on the WhatsApp group or private message to me
5. You cannot select the same team to win more than once during the competition.
6. Once you have chosen a team, you cannot change it.
7. If a match involving your Selection is postponed (after you have made your selection), you will continue to the next round. However, that team will no longer be available for you to pick in the following rounds.
8. If there is not 1 out right winner the money will roll over to the next round with entry fee to be paid again.
9. No cup games
10. ⁠each person can have more than 1 entry.

The Spice Girls may have sung “2 Become 1”, but here at Bramley Blues… 8 became 10!
That’s right — we’ve got TWO new recruits joining the Blues, and after giving you a little teaser of them, they’ve only gone and pulled their weight… so I suppose we’ll let them stay! 😜
So, let’s introduce our fresh new faces…
First up — Joseph!
Joseph is one of our new delightful defenders, joining us from another team to try his hand with the Blues. He’s already well established in the position and has had a brilliant first few games with us. Strong, composed and settling in like he’s been here forever!

Next up — Arlo!
Arlo is our new winger and has already managed to bag a few goals and assists in the games he’s played with us. Another lad with a great football background — but another teams loss is definitely our gain!

Both boys have fitted in perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier to have Joseph, Arlo and their families become part of our Bramley Blues football family.

The new season starts in just a couple of weeks…
So buckle up, Blues crew — it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
Let’s see what these 10 can do!

Tournament day... and unfortunately, football decided to test our patience. We had enough drama last night, nevermind having to do it all again today!

It wasn't meant to be for the boys, but what a shift they put in. First ever 7-a-side tournament with our brilliant new lads, Arlo and Joseph, who slotted in like they'd been with us all season.

The boys didn't concede a SINGLE goal all tournament (our defenders and Ethan in goal clearly had a "No go zone up on that goal), and we didn't lose a single game either.
The only thing we couldn't beat was the goal itself unfortunately and sometimes thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

We gave 1 or 2 teams a proper scare who probably turned up expecting an easy morning but couldnt get the win from us, battled until the very last whistle in the roasting heat, and spent most games attacking, giving our defenders an easy ride. If goals were awarded for hitting the keeper, the post, going close, or making the coaches lose their voices... we'd have won the lot! Is there a trophy for that actually??

It was one of those days where the ball just refused to cross the line.

Massively proud of every single lad. They worked their socks off, never gave up, and showed what this team is all about. We'll dust ourselves off, practise our finishing and go again.

Well done to our brothers Bramley Sunnyside J.F.C U10 Whites who won the cup.
