Swinton Athletic Spartans U12s

First league game for the boys and a lengthy trip to Dronfield to play against strong opposition who we played towards the back end of 25/26 and narrowly beat.

The home side had the better of things, particularly first half. A magnificent save from Jacob Ardron kept it level, before AFC Dronfield deservedly went in front before half time.

Swinton improved marginally in the second half, but were on the back foot for sustained periods.

With the clock ticking down a wonderful Frankie Race corner was nodded home by Ben License to level things up.

An intense few last minutes played out, leaving the final score 1-1. Swinton scrapped their way to a point, but will have plenty to reflect on in coming weeks.

Frankie Race is our winger / attacker. Capable of anything on his day. He rather oddly wears 3.

New Signing in the number 12 - Cody Harris joins as a striker with a superb goal record elsewhere. Quite the character.

Henry Cornwall - HC11 - retaining the 11 despite getting nose bleeds in and around the opposition box these days. Full back / midfield.

Ben10 - Ben License wears the ten - midfield / attack - always likely to grab a goal or five

Jayce Beckett - striker - never wrong but plays an important role as target man…our number 9

Jaxon Dearden wears 8 - midfield linchpin and Mr Serious

Number 7 - Happy Feet and master at toe pokes - Franky Markham
