🏆 County Cup Result
Athersley Rec Reserves 2–4 Parkgate Reserves
Despite missing a fair few players, the lads came in freshened up and were really impressive, racing into a 3–0 lead inside the opening 30 minutes.
Goals from Billy Wright ⚽️⚽️ and Shafi Ahmed ⚽️ set the tone before Athersley pulled one back five minutes before the break. They struck again early in the second half from a corner, but Parkgate soaked up the pressure brilliantly.
With 15 minutes to go, Sid Rhodes ⚽️ sealed the win and sent us through in style.
A fantastic attacking display — it’s all coming together nicely, and this manager is very happy! 🔨

FT. Parkgate Reserves 0–0 Jubilee Sports
Our unbeaten start to the season continues after a hard-fought draw.
A game of two halves. Jubilee started the brighter of the sides and could have taken the lead before the break, but the lads grew into the contest and finished the game strongly. Despite creating chances late on, neither side could find the breakthrough, and a draw was a fair result in the end.
⭐ Special mention to Mackenzie Griffin, who stepped up from the U18s to cover for No.1 keeper Max Cooper and put in an outstanding debut performance.

Tonight, Wednesday 3rd September, our Reserves play their first home game of the season with a 6:15pm kick-off at Roundwood.

FULL TIME | Bentley 1–2 Parkgate Reserves
The Reserves got the season off to a flyer with an opening day victory away at Bentley.
⚽⚽ Billy Wright bagged both goals and was named Man of the Match after a superb performance.
It was a great battling display where every player worked tirelessly for each other – a team effort to secure all three points for the Steelmen.
