🥋 ASK SIFU | How long does it take to earn a black belt?

It’s one of the questions we get asked a lot... but there isn’t a magic number. 👊

A black belt isn’t about how quickly you can get through the grades. It’s about the time, effort and commitment you put into your journey along the way.

Everyone progresses differently, and there’s no need to compare your journey to anyone else’s.

Because the goal isn’t simply to get a black belt...
it’s to become one.🥋

This is what Jado is all about 🥋❤️

Big voices, big strikes and lots of energy! 👊🔥

Yes, we learn martial arts. Yes, we build confidence, discipline and resilience.

But we also have fun, make friends and enjoy every moment along the way…

Because Jado is more than martial arts. 🖤

🥋 THE STUDENT PROMISE

The Student Promise is about more than what we learn in the Kwoon.

It’s about showing respect, being honest, being polite, always doing our best and using what we learn in the right way.

These are values that help our students grow in confidence, discipline and respect - both inside and outside the Kwoon. ❤️🖤

Because martial arts is about more than learning how to move. It’s about learning how to live.

Do you know the Student Promise? 👊

🥋 MYTH vs FACT

Worried your child won’t be able to concentrate in class?

They don’t need perfect focus before they start. That’s something we can help them build along the way. 👊

Through structure, repetition and encouragement, children can develop their focus, listening skills and self-discipline — all while learning martial arts and having fun.

Every child learns differently, and progress takes time. ❤️

LIFE OUTSIDE JADO ❤️

Last week, we discovered a little more about Sifu and the things he enjoys outside Jado.

This week, we’re finding out more about Rene! 🥋

You may know Rene as one of our instructors, but there’s much more to her than Jado.

Alongside teaching, Rene enjoys hockey, travel, and cake decorating. She also has her own little cake business! 🎂

And there’s something else you may not know…

Rene is also the person behind our social media! 📱

From planning posts and creating content to keeping our pages up to date, she helps bring Jado to life online.

So now you know a little more about the person behind the posts, the cakes, the hockey and everything in between. ❤️

What’s something you didn’t know about Rene? 👇

🥋 MORE THAN MARTIAL ARTS

Jado is about learning, training and progressing, but it’s also about the people you meet along the way.

The encouragement when something feels difficult.
The friendships built in class.
The support between training partners.
Celebrating when someone reaches a goal.
And being part of something bigger than yourself.

Different ages. Different experiences. Different belts.

One Jado family. ❤️🖤

Uss ❤️🖤
