Cardiff Half Marathon complete ✔️
In memory of Meg and for Breast Cancer Now.
Meg passed away earlier this year after a long battle with cancer. She was one of our dance schools biggest supporters and was always up for taking on any crazy ideas we’d come up with. Back in lockdown we asked the dancers to take part in a pass the shoe video and then asked the parents to get involved too- not too many were brave enough to put themselves out there but Meg did, she even roped in her husband too :)
13.1 miles of a run doesn’t compare to anyone going through cancer but every small amount of donations goes a long way to find the answers and research needed.
Not sure this link will work:

Excited, nervous, emotional - first 3 words that come to mind when thinking about tomorrow 😬
Probably shouldn’t have walked the legs off myself going around Cardiff for a few hours tho 😳; right leg is a bit sore but hopefully that doesn’t cause any issues tomorrow 🤞
I am running for Breast Cancer Now in memory of Meg; one of our lovely mums from Anam Mor Irish Dance Academy who sadly passed away earlier this year.
I’ll be wearing 2 T-shirts; mostly to keep me warm but I’ve just realised I picked my 2020 London marathon tee - it’s exactly 5 years since having to do that horrendous run virtually around St Albans. Meg and family all popped out along the route to cheer me on, and cheer me up too; I was miserable: I remember warmers being pushed into my hand to try and heat me up as well. Definitely helped push me on.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow 🤞😬
