🏊‍♀️ What Kids Say During Swimming Lessons! 💦

Our swimmers never fail to amaze us and every now and then, they manage to completely baffle our teachers when they least expect it! 😂

So we’ve decided to share a little highlight with you every week. Giving you the inside scoop on some of the wonderfully funny, sweet and unexpected things your little ones come out with during their swimming lessons.

This week’s quote was utterly adorable, as we’re sure you’ll agree and it gave Leah a serious case of cuteness overload! 💕

🏊‍♀️💦 THE POOL IS OPEN… AND WE’RE DEFINITELY BACK WITH A SPLASH! 💦🏊‍♂️

We might only be open three days a week at the moment, but our little pool team has certainly made those three days count!

In just THREE DAYS this week, we’ve welcomed an incredible 183 swimmers through our doors! 🤯👏

From our tiniest babies and toddlers through our children’s swimming lessons and all the way to our fabulous Aqua Fit ladies the pool has been BUSY!

And behind those 183 swimmers is a small but mighty team working incredibly hard to keep everything running. 💙

🌟 Leah has taught, taught… and then taught some more! Every single lesson this week has been delivered by the one and only Leah. She’s been absolutely full of cold, but apparently decided germs weren’t a good enough reason to stop. 🤧😂

🛟 Sam and Rebecca have lifeguarded TO THE MAX — keeping watch, keeping everyone safe and surviving the poolside madness!

💦 Corinne and Emma have jumped in to support wherever needed, including a bit of poolside patrolling when extra hands and eyes were required!

It really does take a team, and ours might be small, but they’ve worked incredibly hard this week to make sure our swimmers could get back in the water. ❤️

As for Leah…

183 swimmers later, she has finally admitted defeat.

Current status: in bed, Lemsip in hand, feeling very sorry for herself. 😂☕️🤧

3 days. 183 swimmers. One small but mighty team. And one very tired swim teacher.

What a first week back! 💦👏

Now somebody please send Leah another Lemsip… 😂

🚨 STAFF APPRECIATION POST 🚨
We’d like to introduce you to one of the hardest-working members of the St Bees School Pool team…

✨ THE POOL VAC, also knows as Walley✨

Never calls in sick.
Never complains about the rota.
Doesn’t need a lunch break.
Works tirelessly at the bottom of the pool.
And quite literally cleans up everyone else’s mess. 😂

While Leah, Alannah, Rebecca, Sam, Corinne and Emma might think they keep this place running… we all know who the real MVP is. 🫡

Quiet. Reliable. Slightly tangled on occasion. And absolutely essential. 💙

So next time you’re enjoying our lovely clean pool, spare a thought for our unsung hero working behind the scenes (and under the water!). 🤿😂

🏊‍♀️💦 WE’RE BACK! 💦🏊‍♂️
This week we’re SO excited to welcome all of our wonderful swimmers back to the pool! 🎉
We can’t wait to see some familiar faces, welcome some new ones and get everyone making a splash again! 🌊
⭐ Our fabulous teachers Leah & Alannah will be leading the way, supported by the brilliant Rebecca & Sam!
And keep your eyes peeled… 👀 Corinne & Emma will also be making a splash poolside from time to time! 💦😄

After a restful bank holiday it’s time to dust off the cobwebs and get ready for our autumn timetable! We will be closed on Wednesday due to our team doing some essential back to school work!

Join St Bees Swim Academy this Autumn! Whether you’re looking for lessons for babies, toddlers or children, our Bees Swim Pathway is designed to help every swimmer build confidence, develop excellent technique, and gain essential water safety skills.

💦 The Bees Swim Pathway
From those very first splashes to becoming a confident, capable swimmer, every stage of our pathway supports your child’s progress while encouraging a lifelong love of swimming.

🏊 Classes available for:
👶 Babies 0-2
🧒 Toddlers 2-3.5
🏅 Children 3.5 and above

📅 Autumn Term Dates
7th September – 12th December 2026
Half Term: 19th–31st October
