Another great day of Organising in Salford!

We spoke with members across Salford Council about the NJC pay claim and the importance of getting ballot ready. Our members were clear, they're ready to stand together and fight for the pay rise they deserve.

We also spoke to staff who weren't yet UNISON members but are now keen to join our union as a result!

Every conversation helps build a stronger and more organised union. When workers come together, we win 💜💚

Local government unions have rejected the 2026 pay offer and are demanding meaningful pay negotiations in a letter to employers signed by all three unions - UNISON, Unite and GMB.

UNISON are balloting members for strike action from 9 July.
