What a fabulous day yesterday enjoying the beautiful sights of Paris at the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris another marathon in the bag and such fun making amazing memories with friends. We even stopped at 25.66 miles to get a selfie with the Effiel Tower behind us, had to be done π€©.
Saw lots of Paris I had never seen before as a tourist like Chateau Vincennes and beautiful parks with tree lined roads. It was a warm very humid day and it was very well organised with buckets full of water to splash over yourself to keep cool every 5k. I got lots of video footage on the way round so will create a little reel, the music / entertainment and vibe as you go round was such fun!
LOVED it - our first bit of marathon tourism!

Looking for some walking motivation ?
ππββοΈ I do Run up to Christmas every year as part of my running club team, you run or walk as many miles as you can between 1-24 December - it needs to be recorded on their website - I just link to Strava. Great motivation for getting moving during the festive season! π
Run Up to Christmas π this is their page where you can get all info if up for it. I donβt get commission, I am just giving a nudge to people who want to get moving and fit for 2024, start early get those steps in and beat the Xmas Excess!! π
This year I even got the bobble hat πππ!

Recent walk with these lovely ladies at the end of October. Heel was sore after needed a bit of stretching, it is taking a long time and I am soooo impatient π¬π. Now I am having NHS physio only started this week it has been a bit of a wait. I have managed to run up to 5k which was last Sunday. My focus is getting running πββοΈ distances again as I have a place in Paris Marathon in April 2024 and training starts in December. I need to build a lot of fitness back up, I have kept up with strength training once a week ππ»ββοΈ , physio says I need to do this twice a week. More walking to build back in to recovery. I am so looking forward to getting out in the mountains again and maybe even Dartmoor over the winter. I am going to have to watch the load on my foot during marathon training. Hope to be back soon!! π π₯Ύ

Itβs Friyay and this photo is of me on Monday in the wind and π§οΈ at a Ropework Refresher course for the β°οΈ Mountain Leader qualification. It was a great confidence booster and in my mind π I had totally over complicated it since my training course last June and had a great instructor this week to go over it all again with lots of time to practise !! What a contrast of a week for me, been sat in front of my laptop π» for the rest of the week, I havenβt even managed to get out for a run π!!
