Club Thorne Colliery U21 4 Selby Town U21 0
Selby held out almost until half-time when Thorne were awarded a penalty. The home side had made most of the running and scored early in the second half to make it two nil. A third was added just after the hour and a fourth just before the end as the home side utilised their stronger bench.
The Robins didn't give up but can't really have any complaints about the score with Thorne dominating in the second half and the visitors found the home defence resolute when they did get forward.
FT Selby Town U21 0 Worksop Town U21 2
This was a tight game with defences well on top for most of the play in difficult conditions with the pitch freezing before the end.
The visitors dominated the early play but Selby gradually came into the game and enjoyed a lot of possession but neither side carved out many chances with tight marking and a fair number of offside flags frustrating opportunities.
Selby had defended well but conceded on thirty minutes with a good cross from the right being met by an unmarked player. It was their only error of that half and it was punished.
HT Selby 0 1 Worksop
Selby dominated possession for much of the second half but could not carve out chances. Charlie Colley forced a regulation save and Worksop struggled to defend one of the game's few corners with nobody able to prod the ball home.
The Robins' defenders stood off in the sixty-ninth minute to allow the visitors to score a well-worked goal which very much flattered them and it was a real shame as the defence had played very well with man of the match Harley Adams being particularly prominent.
