Just a reminder to our club members — if you have a pickleball paddle you no longer use and would like to sell it, let us know!

We’re creating a platform to help members buy and sell second-hand paddles within the pickleball community.

Sheffield players out in force at Graves!

It was fantastic to see so many Sheffield Pickleball Club members competing on home soil at the Sheffield Pickleball UK Autumn Tournament at Graves this weekend.

And there was some silverware coming back with them too! 🥈🥉

🥉 Sam & Amy picked up bronze in the Open Mixed 3.0+
🥈 Ruth & AJ secured silver in the Women’s 50+ 3.0+

There was a great club presence throughout the weekend too, with Alison & Rachel, Mark & Diane, Russ & Ashton, Nick & Martin, Andy and Marc, Rob & Pam, Craig and plenty of other familiar Sheffield faces getting on court and enjoying the competition.

For us, that is every bit as important as the medals. It’s brilliant to see more of our members stepping into tournament play, testing themselves against different opponents and representing the club.

Huge congratulations to everyone who played, supported and brought a bit of Sheffield Pickleball spirit to Graves! 👏🏓

SOUTH YORKSHIRE LEAGUE – ROUND 1

What a difference a year makes!

Last season was our first in the South Yorkshire League, with just one Sheffield Pickleball Club team taking part.

Fast forward 12 months and on Sunday we had FOUR teams competing – one in each of the four divisions! 💪

That growth says so much about the development of the club. It reflects the tremendous efforts of our players, the support of our volunteers and the work that goes into our weekly sessions to help players develop and progress.

And there was plenty to celebrate on court too…

🏆 Sheffield Seven – Division 4 CHAMPIONS!
A magnificent start to the day, going undefeated to take the title and secure promotion to Division 3!

🥈 Sheffield Vulcans – 2nd in Division 3
Another excellent performance, finishing runners-up and continuing a brilliant start for Sheffield.

🥈 Sheffield Edge – 2nd in Division 2
Some hard-fought matches and a strong performance to take second place.

🦅 Sheffield Steelhawks – Division 1
A tough day where things never quite got going, with relegation decided by the smallest of margins. They'll be looking to bounce straight back next time!

So after Round 1, we’ll head into the next round with two Sheffield teams in Division 2 and two in Division 3.

A fantastic reflection of how far the club and our players have come in such a short time.

📅 Round 2 – Sunday 18 October

Well done to everyone who represented Sheffield, and a huge thank you to everyone behind the scenes who continues to make it possible. 👏

🏓 Pickleball really is a sport for everyone! ♿️

Meet Simon, who recently joined Sheffield Pickleball Club and came along to our Monday session at Springs Leisure Centre. Simon is our first wheelchair pickleball player, and it was fantastic to welcome him to the club!

We’re proud to be an all-inclusive club, where everyone can get on court, have fun and enjoy the game together. Simon certainly knows his way around a pickleball court and showed us some seriously slick moves! 👏🔥

It was great to see some fantastic games, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, everyone enjoying pickleball together.

Why not come along and join Simon and the rest of the gang at one of our weekly sessions?

Everyone is welcome — come and give pickleball a go! 🏓😊
