A nail-biting *6-run win* today vs Wickersley Old Village CC keeps our U13s top of the league.
*Net Score: Handsworth 273 - 267 Wickersley* | *3pts secured*

Following Mondayโ€™s win against Bradfield, the resilience and team spirit again were outstanding.

*League standings:*
- No.1 ranked batter, with three Handsworth players in the Top 10
- No.2 ranked bowler, with three Handsworth players in the Top 10

*Key contributions:*
- *Hassan* โ€“ Showed great composure against tall, quick bowling, anchoring a 37-run opening stand with Daniyaal.
- *Mustafa* โ€“ Match-winning 3 for 9. Opposition coach called him a โ€œlittle magicianโ€ for his flight, grip and turn.
- *Ashar* โ€“ Economical opening over, then defended brilliantly in the final over: 1 run + a crucial wicket.
- *Dawood* โ€“ Brilliant fielding: chased from his follow-through to mid-off and executed a direct-hit run out.

This is *Aspire, Inspire, Achieve* in action.
Congratulations, team ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ *DOUBLE WIN FOR HANDSWORTH U11s* ๐Ÿ

Blue and Green both got over the line today with excellent performances across the board!

With the ball, we were disciplined and created pressure โ€” great lines, smart fielding, and key wickets when we needed them.

With the bat, huge shoutout to the Bluesโ€™ last 2 pairs for holding their nerve:
Dawood & Rehan
Ashar & Hassan

Smart batting, great running, and they finished the game in style. Thatโ€™s the composure we love to see.

Well played to every single player in both teams โ€” the hard work in training is showing. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

Our Y3 & Y4s had a fantastic time yesterday learning cricket skills with Handsworth Cricket Club! Huge thanks to them for visiting us! ๐Ÿ

Tough day yesterday but donโ€™t worry. No one let themselves down. We played two games and we lost both, but every kid faced their 4 overs and gave it everything. That takes guts at U11 and Iโ€™m proud of that.

We learn from our mistakes. The motto about losing games: you either win or you learn. In pairs cricket we gave away too many wickets, and thatโ€™s what cost us. We also didnโ€™t back up enough in the field. So Saturday we fix two things: value your wicket, and back up every ball. Heads up, chest out, and go again. We train it, we learn it, we get better together.

Handsworth U13s secured their second win of the season with a dominant performance against Millhouses on Sunday 26th April.

Bowling first, the team restricted Millhouses to 54/6 from their overs. A much-improved display with tight lines and a big reduction in wides and no-balls.

In reply, Handsworth reached 100/3 to seal a 61-run victory. The opening partnership was outstanding, passing the target in just 4 overs without loss. Every batter showed great application.

A brilliant all-round team performance. Thank you to the parents for your continued support.

*Double wins to start the U11s Pairs season!* ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

*Handsworth Green - Division 3* batted first and set 274/4 with positive running and sharp shots. They backed it up with disciplined bowling to dismiss Hollinsend for 173/13. Result: *Green win by 101 runs*.

*Handsworth Blue - Premier Division* bowled first, holding Collegiate CC Red to 254/5. The chase was calm and clinical as Blue finished 278/6. Result: *Blue win by 24 runs*.

Brilliant energy, teamwork and fielding from both sides. What a way to kick off the season!

What a way to kick off the U13s Pairs season. The boys had a phenomenal start with superb bowling that kept Hallam CC under pressure from ball one. Backed up by some brilliant batting, the team built a commanding lead and never looked back. We closed out the day with a convincing win, beating Hallam CC by 75 runs. A top team performance to start the season strong.
