Great weekend at Oakridge, first time Sheffield Speeders Flyball Teams have been to this venue. All the team had a great weekend and really enjoyed it. Was lots of dogs doing an indoor competition for the first time and alot of personal bests over the weekend, which will be posted later πŸ‘Œ.
Our team captain was unable to come due to being in and out of hospital. With us being dogs down over two of our open teams, we pulled one open team out and put two dogs left in our Sheffield Sprinters team who were a dog short. So we went with two open teams and two foundation teams, with all our foundation dogs trying indoor for the first time 😁.
Saturday was now a quite day for running dogs, with us having only one foundation team racing Sheffield Saplings, with a line up of Bruce his second time in competition with him running pawperfect all day, he is picking up flyball so quick. Then Aqua her second time in competition and so much better than her last competition, showing her confidence is coming. Then we had bear who is getting better and better each competition with him now, running in when another dog is running back on other lane.
With them doing so well and coming away with a 2nd place, πŸ₯ˆ well done team. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Sunday was a very busy day for us. First was our open team Sheffield Speeders with a line up of Maggie second time competing with us. Walter, Pixie and Albus, going into division 1 were everyone was running alot quicker than us, with us having some great racing and really working the team, this team is working so well and getting quicker and quicker each week, with us chipping away to get that club record, well we did it again and got a new seed time and by .06 off the club record, with us getting 17.37 πŸŽ‰ With them coming away with a 3rd place πŸ₯‰ Well done team πŸ‘ πŸ‘
Next up with our open team Sheffield Sprinters with a line up, Millie, Moonshine, Chilly our normal dogs for this team, then we had Darcey her second time competing with us and Luna, both move over to race with them, with both dogs fitting in so well and changing into any dog, Luna her second time in open competition, we had been working on her red lane issue. And she never put a paw wrong, we are really pleased with her πŸ‘. With this team coming away with a 2nd placeπŸ₯ˆ Well done team πŸ‘πŸ‘
Last team was our foundation team Sheffield Seedlings with a line up Arlo last time for him in Foundation, but finding indoor a little over welming but never put a paw wrong, working on his starts ready to move over onto his open team. We then had Skye who found indoor too much for him, he did well, but something we will work on for our next indoor competition with him. Then we had Bonnie who just lost her confidence and found it a little to noisy so we just did recalls, to give her some confidence and experience in the ring, with this team coming away with a 4th place πŸ… Well done team πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
