Jazzy B Parkrun Takeover ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

What a lovely morning with the Jazzy B gang! โค๏ธ

This was our latest Jazzy B social and it was such a great way to start the weekend ,
fresh air, movement, laughs and coffee catch ups afterwards โ˜•๏ธ

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, ran or supported this morning. Parkrun completely relies on volunteers every single week, and without them these events simply wouldnโ€™t happen. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

If youโ€™ve never tried Parkrun before, definitely give it a go. Itโ€™s free, welcoming, friendly and open to all fitness levels, whether you walk, jog, run or volunteer. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Alsoโ€ฆ another little comfort zone challenge completed for me ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐ŸฅณI somehow ended up doing the pre-run speech to over 500 people this morning! Nerve-racking but proud I pushed myself to do it. ๐Ÿ’œ

Next Jazzy B social will be a pub trip ๐Ÿฅ‚ ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Dan came to me 8 weeks ago after his lovely wife absolutely smashed her goals through my coachingโ€ฆ and he decided he was next ๐Ÿ’ซ

Since starting, weโ€™ve been focusing on:
๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Building strength
๐Ÿƒ Improving running times
๐Ÿ”ฅ Dropping body fat
โšก Feeling healthier, fitter, and more energy

And the progress already speaks for itself ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Massive well done Dan, this is just the beginning ๐Ÿš€

Most people train based on what they feel they should liftโ€ฆ
But if you want to build strength consistently, learning your RPE can be a total game changerrrrr ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

RPE = Rate of Perceived Exertion
Basically, how hard a set feels on a scale of 1โ€“10.

Why is this so helpful?

โœ… Helps you train hard enough to progress
โœ… Stops you going too light and staying comfortable
โœ… Prevents burnout from pushing max effort every session
โœ… Teaches you to listen to your body
โœ… Allows flexibility depending on sleep, stress & energy levels
โœ… Builds confidence with heavier weights over time

Not every session will feel the same, and thatโ€™s normal ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Using RPE helps you work at the right intensity for YOU on that day, which often leads to better strength progress long term ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Example:
RPE 8 = you probably had around 2 more reps left in the tank.
Hard workโ€ฆ without completely emptying yourself.๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ
