Tremendous team win for the Langsett Cycles RT new boys on their 2017 TT team debut at the hastily reorganised Birdwell Wheelers 10 (* will come on to that) - at Hatfield Woodhouse today.

In his first full TT season ex Tri man Andrew Whiteley recorded an impressive 4th place well supported with solid early season performances by Keith Ainsworth and Tim Fearn in 13th and 16th places respectively.

Full commendation though to the Birdwell Wheelers guys, including Paul Heggie and Trevor Mayne, who at relatively short notice had to find an alternate course due to road works and then hours before the event had to yet again find another, as those lovely bods from BT Openreach unexpectedly set up temporary traffic lights on the A18 - the Birdwell 10 became the 9.9 which then became the rather sharp 7.5. Well done guys, you saved the day!

So today Emilie only beat the current women's hill climb champion on Bank Road :-)
Not only that but she thought she'd done a bad ride! It was awesome watching Em - she looked really strong and smooth, just brilliant. Very proud of my team mate. Looking forward to the champs next week :-)

Great rides by Emilie (3rd woman with 8.45.4) and Andy Sedgewick (2nd vet with 7.34) at the legendary Mam Nick hc yesterday. Both men's and women's course records went with the entire top ten all under 7 minutes, which is pretty amazing. Well done guys.

Monsal Hill climb is just a fantastic event. You can feel the history The crowds were amazing and great conditions for fast times. Really pleased with my second place!

Wow, amazing results for the women at Monsal. There was a time when a 1.58 would have won it but this year the entire top five were under it! Astonishing time from Lou Bates and schoolgirl (!) Lily Greenhalg. Emilie's 1,54 was a pb and a brilliant effort, well done Emmy xx
