Here at Back To Basics, we really appreciate your feedback — especially when it comes to the sessions, coaching, and your overall thoughts and opinions.

Hi all, My business bank account is currently with my accountant, I am also not there tomorrow due to work commitments. So i will not be able to confirm payments Would it be possible for you all to bring cash just as a one off for tomorrow please. £25 per player.

Hi everyone 😊

I completely understand that the cancellation of the camp is disappointing, and I really appreciate everyone’s understanding.

We have spoken with Ice Sheffield, and they have confirmed that there is a session available on Sunday 16th August, from 10:40am–12:00pm.

I also appreciate that it’s the school holidays and families may already have plans. However, due to Ice Sheffield needing to know our numbers tomorrow for this session only, I’m going to have to extend our usual cancellation policy.

I’m putting this out for sign-ups now, and sign-ups will close tomorrow at 5pm. If we have enough numbers, we will go ahead with the session.

Please only sign up if you are confident that you will be able to attend. If you sign up for the session and subsequently cancel between now and the session, payment will still be required, as we will need to confirm and pay for the places with Ice Sheffield based on the numbers we submit.

I completely appreciate that this is not ideal, especially during the school holidays, and thank you for your understanding. ❤️

Good afternoon all,

Unfortunately the August camp is going have to be cancelled. I have been working with numbers and had 23 cancel within the last week.

Unfortunately due to this we cannot run the camp with the amount of staff required and ice cost.

Apologies for any inconveniences caused.

Hi everyone,

It took me a little while to figure out how I was feeling after tonight, and honestly, the only sentence I can come up with is… wow, what a night.

Months ago, when we thought this would be a good idea, I remember saying, “If we raise £50 and have some fun, that’s all that matters.”

Well… over £3,500 later, after a night full of laughter, fun, and plenty of banter, it’s safe to say we completely smashed every expectation.

I genuinely can’t put into words how thankful I am that such an amazing group of people came together for such a great cause. Tonight showed what can happen when people get behind something they believe in.

Thank you to every spectator, every volunteer, every player, every single person who donated through our JustGiving page, everyone who shared our posts, and everyone who has put up with me over the last six months while I’ve been stressing about making tonight happen.

Tonight wasn’t just about hockey—it was about bringing people together, making memories, and raising money for a fantastic cause. I truly believe we achieved that.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and none of it would have been possible without every single one of you.

Thank you again, and I’ll speak to you all very soon.

🎉 Back to Basics Camp Returns for Year 3! 🎉

We’re excited to announce the 3rd Annual Back to Basics Camp, taking place on 29th–30th August at Ice Sheffield!

After two fantastic years, we’re back and ready for another weekend packed with development, hard work, and fun both on and off the ice.

🏒 3 hours of on-ice training each day
💪 1-hour off-ice session each day
👥 Experienced coaching staff (TBC)
🥅 Experienced Goalie Coach Confirmed

⏰ Ice Session Times
🕙 10:00 – 11:30
🕑 14:00 – 15:30

📍 Location: Ice Sheffield
💰 Cost: £120 per Player

Due to ice and insurance costs, the price is fixed, but we’re committed to delivering an outstanding camp experience with plenty of ice time, quality coaching, and a great atmosphere.
