Final league game of the season for us on Saturday night, when we welcome the Telford Spartans to ice Sheffield in the IHSC

we were beaten heavily in the return fixture so we’ll be looking to do better this time and end the season on a positive

💣 BOMBERS 13-1 MAVERICKS 💣

The Bombers finished the SIHC league campaign in style with a dominant 13-1 victory over the Sheffield Mavericks.

The Bombers came flying out of the blocks in the first period, finding the net four times through Leon Larcombe-Loftus, Len Smith, James Marsh and Tom Larcombe to take a 4-0 lead into the first break.

The second period saw the Bombers continue to control the game, adding another three goals through Neill Orr, Jacob Sheahan and Tom Larcombe to extend the lead to 7-0.

The goals continued to flow in the third as the Bombers added another six. Malc Smith and Jacob Sheahan grabbed two, with James Marsh and Kiahl Thursby also finding the net to complete the 13-1 victory.

It was a fantastic all-round display, with the Bombers looking dangerous going forward while putting in an equally impressive defensive performance.

There was also a change between the pipes early on, with Matt Kay stepping in midway through the first period following an injury to Benji Allender and putting in an excellent performance.

A brilliant way to finish the SIHC league season.

Man of the match went to Jack Green, who as usual didn’t stop skating and putting the pressure on the opposing team from the first minute being rewarded with 2 assists

A tough night on the road in Hull.

Hull Knights 9–1 Bombers

We came up against a very good Knights side and unfortunately the damage was done early, with the hosts blowing us away in the first period.

We regrouped in the second and managed to contain them, keeping them off the scoresheet and showing some good fight.

we did manage to get on the scoresheet through Tom Jarvis in the third but the result was beyond reach.

It just wasn’t our night and we couldn’t get our game going consistently enough from start to finish.

The Bombers fell to defeat against the Blazers despite a determined effort throughout the game.

Skating with just two lines, the Bombers matched the Blazers’ work rate for long spells but were ultimately outmatched by the quality of the opposition and struggled to generate sustained pressure in the offensive zone.

Goals came from Jack Green, assisted by David Astill and a well taken solo effort from CR Stewart.

Josh Kerrison was named Man of the Match after an energetic performance, leading by example with his relentless work rate and battling hard in every shift.

Josh Quince picked up the Bombers Player award after working tirelessly throughout the game, making the opposition work hard for every puck and never giving them an easy shift.

Final Score: Bombers 2–7 Blazers.
