🗓 Tuesday Evenings
Kano Kidz; 5.45–6.30pm
Junior Judo; 6.30–7.30pm

Consistency builds confidence. Progress comes from turning up week after week; and that doesn’t stop at half term.

🥋 OPEN DAY TODAY AT GREENGATE LANE ACADEMY 🥋

We are genuinely excited to be delivering a FREE Judo Open Day today at our partner school Greengate Lane Academy.

Danny and Cian are on the mat today giving pupils a real insight into what judo is all about; fun, confidence-building and inclusive sessions that show how judo helps young people develop physically, mentally and socially.

This is not just a taster; it is a proper introduction to judo and the values we deliver every week at South Yorkshire Judo Academy.

We cannot wait to share judo with the pupils today and hopefully welcome many of them onto the mat again very soon.

We are proud to announce the opening of DNA South Yorkshire Judo Academy; the fourth academy to be established under the DNA Judo banner.

From Tuesday 20th January 2026, judo arrives at Greengate Lane Academy in Sheffield, delivered under the expert tuition of Cian Maris, British Judo Level 3 Coach.

This is more than the launch of a new club; it is another step in our commitment to growing the sport of judo, sharing its values, and investing in communities through high quality coaching and meaningful experiences.

At DNA Judo, we believe judo develops far more than physical ability. It builds confidence, discipline, resilience, respect, and character; qualities that support young people not just on the tatami, but in education, work, and life beyond sport.

South Yorkshire Judo Academy will be a place where young people are challenged, supported, and inspired; where they learn to persevere, take responsibility, and contribute positively to their community.

We are excited to bring judo to High Green and to welcome a new generation of judoka into the DNA Judo family.
