Shrewsbury Up & Comers FC are delighted to announce that George Burton will join our Reserve Team coaching staff as Assistant Coach for the 2026/27 season.

George will work alongside newly appointed Head Coach Ugis Treimanis, with the pair having known each other since their school days. Their strong relationship, shared values and understanding of one another make them an exciting partnership as they begin this new chapter together.

George brings great enthusiasm and a real desire to support player development, and we are pleased to welcome him into the role.

A Shrewsbury lad through and through, Ugis already has valuable experience within the local game, having previously worked as Assistant Manager with Saha Men’s Team. His passion, knowledge and understanding of the adult game made him the right man for the job.

As a club, we are committed to providing a clear pathway into adult football, and we believe Ugis is the perfect fit to continue building and developing our Reserve Team both on and off the pitch.
