Pregnancy, Birth & Post Natal Support based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. My name is Sam. I am a doula and an ante natal teacher. Women are not just incubators.
I use this page to share pictures, quotes and articles related to pregnancy, birth, babies and women's rights and choices. I love working with women and families because I am passionate about birth and I don't think I will ever stop being amazed by it and how much our bodies are capable of. General information
I completed the training course with Nurturing Birth in 2011 and then completed the Recognition prcoess with Doula UK. I was a member of Doula UK, although my membership has lapsed and I have not renewed it as yet :D
I have two children; one born in hospital and one born at home.
Birth services:
- one free initial interview
- two ante natal sessions to help women prepare for birth.
- unlimited text, telephone and email support
- loan of materials, including La Bassine birth pool
- on call for one month around your guess date
- continuous support during labour and birth
- take photographs for you, if possible
- record video footage if requested and if circumstances allow
- one post natal visit
Post natal services:
I am happy to support families with new babies in whatever way they need as they transition into life with a newborn. This can include breastfeeding support, helping with older siblings, dog walking, shopping, running errands, minding your baby while you have a nap or a soak in the bath, etc.
