A great set of weights from Thursdays club match on the MD canal Coal yard stretch
Well done Steve & Tony, netting over 20lb each

Found Sunday 14th by a walker, who found this on the coalyard stretch.
He told me that it had fish in it which he released, he told me that he had seen the person responsible for setting this trap and he was a foreign person who he had seen emptying the trap before, but did want to confront him. More patrols required again

Hodnet Angling Club's, second open of the season is on 5th July 2026.
So for those of you who want to book on, I would appreciate it if you could book on as early as you possibly can, because I daresay I will have a bit of work to do prepping pegs and sorting out car parking.
The draw will be at Weatherspoons Market Drayton.
£20 all in.
Rolling draw starting at 08.15am - 09.00am
Fish 11.00am - 16.00pm
No fishmeal groudbait
No Bloodworm or Joker
No pellets or Boilies
Presentation at the Red Lion, Cheswardine.
Once I start getting a feel for how many will be attending I will let you all know what stretches we will be using

Ryleys is free for pleasure fishing this Sunday,31st May, as we have moved our match to the canal.
Please can you remember to dip your nets as per the club rules ,and please give consideration to any fish caught and return them to the water as soon as possible
