Last Sunday, Stu pulled a very impressive erg marathon in support of Mind UK! He was joined by our captain, Steve also doing a marathon. Will, Alex, Frank, and also Carla joined in too! Last weekend, some of our Senior and Master Rowers attended a training camp at Upper Thames Rowing Club . Thanks to them for allowing us to visit. It was a great weekend!

Today at Pengwern, we had the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire visit us to officially re-open our renovated boat bays which was then followed by the Lord-Lieutenant having a go at some rowing with some members of the club! After members were catered by Shrewsbury Food Hub.

Thanks to BCHN architects and AJR Building and Conservation for assisting with planning and renovating. And thanks to our sponsors for assisting us financially. This wouldn't be possible without you.

On Sunday, our Masters C 8+ raced at North of England Head at Royal Chester Rowing Club.

They pulled a great race and placed third out of the six crews that raced!

Onto Vesta next weekend!

TODAY we hosted the 2026 Montford Challenge organised by Welsh Sea Rowing!

The event involved an 8-mile upstream challenge and a dash back downstream toward the club.

A good, and lively afternoon at Pengwern!

Tonight we had a wonderful Easter Quiz! Thanks a lot to Cheryl and Patrick for organising!

We also had the pleasure of meeting British Rowing’s new CEO, Tom Solesbury at our club to talk about the future of British Rowing!

All round a good week to be at Pengwern!
