Nov 14 1918 The Chairman expressed how thankful they all were that the Armistice was signed on the Nov 11th 1918; the club had lost 2 members in the Great War. A Resolution was passed that members be invited to subscribe to a fund, so that they can give £50 to the cottage hospital to commemorate the successful termination to the Great War. This became Queen Marys

Apr 30 1918 (AGM) The club will now be known as The Sidcup Recreation Club instead of The Sidcup Athletic & Recreation Club.

Dec 12 1917 The war has stopped the development of the new bowling green as a bowling green, but has been put to a useful purpose in the growing of vegetables. The sum of £1-3-7 produced from the sale of vegetables from the allotment is towards the new green account
