Match report!

As we enter the weekend, we thought we’d start it off with a match report from last Sunday

We welcomed league and cup winners Rustons sports to the MKM Stadium and the first half saw plenty of drama. An early penalty kick for Rustons saw them take the lead but it wasn’t long before The Lilywhites equalised through Ella Mcgrorey, a mishap in the Ruston defence saw her break free with the ball and slot into an empty net. The action didn’t stop there as Rustons were awarded an indirect freekick finding a player at the back post to make it 2-1, once again though the ladies were able to recover and an effort from the edge of the area found the bottom corner through Hannah Smith making it level at half time

In the second half Rustons came out strong and with injury and fatigue were able to capitalise on mistakes giving themselves chances and the lead. They were able to add 4 goals giving us a full time result of 6-2 in favour of Ruston sports
