Skegness Town U11 whites v Nettleham

Our boys put in a solid performance this morning against a good Nettleham side, the football from both sides was great to watch!
Town took the lead after a fantastic solo run from Jaxon finished off after rounding the goalkeeper to slot home.
Nettleham struck back from the penalty spot before half time after Jack saved the initial effort.
The Lilywhites were near on faultless second half who were defending well as a unit and attacking with threat every time they went forward.
Jakob made it two for town from a corner and both Harry and Albie slotted home from their one on ones with the keeper.
Nettleham scored a consolation towards the end with a neat finish and had another chance very late on but for a brilliant diving save from Jack to keep the score down.
A brilliant performance and another game to take a lot of positives from!

Hard to pick this one as all the boys were fantastic today but Alfie and Harry take it.
Alfie was set instructions to sit in the midfield, break up play, support the defence and be creative with his runs / passes forward when he has chance. He listened well and had a great game.
Harry who was captain today worked tirelessly upfront and never stopped running, always looking to get in behind the defence. He rounded the game off with a well earned goal.

Skegness Town Whites U11’s v Sleaford U11’s

2nd game of the season and our first home game.
A thrilling end to end game played in good spirit with some great football from both sides. After our Lilywhites taking a one goal lead into half time, Sleaford fought back to go ahead in the 2nd half.
Pleasing to see that The Lilywhites showed a lot of resilience and determination to get back into the game and share a positive result!

Start of the new 2026/27 season yesterday and we kicked off with an away game at Keelby.
The team have been working on patterns of f play and positioning when out of possession lately so it was really good to put into practice and show what they’ve been learning. It was also great to come away with a fantastic result after all the boys hard work in the game!
Well done to both sets of players 👏 ⚪️🔴

Fishtoft v Skegness Town Whites

Yesterday we travelled to Fishtoft for a pre season friendly.
It was a great game played with high tempo which had a competitive edge to the game.
Fishtoft started the game well creating chances early, they found the breakthrough with a neat finish minutes into the match.
Town quickly got to grips with the intensity of the game and battled their way back in when Ollie Hardwick played a fantastic through ball which was finished off well by Harry Burton. Kai Chandler made it two for Town before the break.
Straight after half time Harry Burton scored a screamer from outside the box that flew into the top corner. Goals followed for Town with Albie Wager and Jaxon Heath who were both fantastic all game.
Stanley Bennett was rock solid at the back yet again making good decisions with his positioning and distribution. Jakob Taylor was dangerous on both flanks making runs and working hard in transition.
Fishtoft found the net again before winning a penalty late on but Monty Ziller pulled of a great save to keep the score down.
A great test for our boys against a very good Fishtoft side!

Skegness Town Whites U11’s had the pleasure of welcoming Olivia Brown - Sports Therapist to training tonight. Olivia introduced this young development team into stretching, movements and discussing important muscle groups used in football. The boys were put through their paces but also had lots of fun with the challenges put in front of them.
