The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is opening tomorrow on the Lancashire County Council booking platform, and we have some fantastic activities lined up across West Lancashire for children and young people during the Easter holidays!

Children can enjoy a range of exciting sessions including:

⚽ Football camps
🌳 Forest school adventures
🎭 Acting and drama
🎣 Farming and fishing experiences
💃 Dance and movement
💄 Beauty and creative workshops
🏃 Multi-sports and activity clubs

A huge well done to all the primary schools who took part in last week’s SHARES Lancashire Swimming Gala — what an incredible day of teamwork, determination and sportsmanship 👏

With 23 races in total, the atmosphere was electric and every swimmer should be so proud of themselves. Watching confidence grow in the pool is exactly what these galas are all about 💙

What an inspiring session with our amazing schools and pupils at Pupil Parliament! 💬✨
This time, our focus was community and charity – giving children the space to share their ideas, speak up, and explore how their voices can create real change. The discussions were powerful and thoughtful, and it was a brilliant reminder of just how important it is for adults to truly listen to children’s voices.
We are incredibly proud of every child who attended. Their ideas were confident, creative, and full of compassion – showing a real passion for making their schools and communities even better places to be. 🌍💡
A huge thank you to CVS – Jan Howard and Gemma Cummings, and Helen Watson from CFW, who joined us to share inspiring stories and real-life examples of community and charity work. Your input truly motivated the children and helped them see how they can get involved and make a difference.

🏅⚽ Years 1& 2 Multi-Sports Competition – What a Fantastic Evening! ⚽🏅

What an amazing evening at the SHARES Lancashire Years 3 & 4 Multi-Sports Competition! The children did brilliantly, giving their all across every activity — from agility challenges to coordination and teamwork tasks.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, determination, and encouragement between teammates. Every child took part with confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude, showing just how much they’ve developed their skills.

A huge thank you to the teachers and school staff who came along to support, motivate, and cheer on the children throughout — your encouragement makes such a difference. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your ongoing support.
