I am Jo and I am so happy you've found your way here. Through b

This space is a gentle sanctuary for women navigating menopause with the wisdom of Kundalini Yoga - a practice that has supported me deeply in my own journey.

I've been quietly creating something very special behind the scenes...

Over the coming months I'll be opening the doors to the next journey through The Radiant Woman.

If this year has been asking you to reconnect with yourself rather than lose yourself in looking after everyone else, I think you're going to love what's coming.

Watch this space..๐Ÿ’š

We often think stress has to look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like snapping at people we love.
Forgetting simple things.
Feeling exhausted but unable to relax.

Your nervous system is incredibly wise.

Rather than fighting it, try asking...

"What do I need today?"

Perhaps it's movement.

Perhaps it's stillness.

Perhaps it's simply five conscious breaths.

Small moments really do matter.

๐Ÿ’š It is time to rest - do you rest?

Somewhere along the way we were taught that rest is something we earn.

What?

When the inbox is empty.
When the washing is done.
When we've finally finished the never ending to-do list.

The trouble is... the list never really ends.

Yoga teaches us something beautifully different.

When we rest, our nervous system begins to soften.
When we slow down, we hear our own inner wisdom more clearly.
When we pause, we often return with more energy, creativity and compassion than we ever had by pushing through.

If you've been waiting for permission to slow down this week, this is it.

What's one small thing you could do today that helps you feel nourished rather than productive?

๐Ÿ’› If you'd like a practice to support you, my latest YouTube class is waiting for you.

Somewhere along the way, self-care got marketed as something you buy.

A candle.
A face mask.
A bubble bath.

And whilst those things can be lovely, real self-care often looks very different.

It's saying no without feeling guilty.

It's going to bed when everyone else is still scrolling.

It's turning your phone off for an hour.

It's protecting your energy.

It's choosing yoga, rest or quiet over people pleasing.

The most powerful acts of self-care aren't always glamorous. They're the choices that honour your wellbeing, even when they're uncomfortable.

What does real self-care look like for you right now? ๐Ÿ’š

A gentle reminder, not a diagnosis. ๐Ÿ˜Š

If any of these sound familiar, your mind and body may be asking for a little more space, rest and self-care.

Yoga isn't a magic fix, but it can be a powerful tool for slowing down, reconnecting and finding a little more balance in busy seasons of life.

๐ŸŒฟ 1. Start your morning without your phone Even 10 minutes makes a difference. Before taking in everybody elseโ€™s energy, opinions and demands, try sitting with your own breath first. Open a window. Stretch. Drink water slowly. Let your nervous system wake up naturally.

๐ŸŒฟ 2. Breathe deeper than feels normal Most people breathe very shallowly without even noticing. Several times a day, pause and take one slow inhale through the noseโ€ฆ and an even slower exhale. Long exhales tell the body it is safe.

๐ŸŒฟ 3. Spend time outside without multitasking No podcast. No scrolling. No rushing. Just notice. The sky. The air. The sounds around you. Nature regulates us in ways we often underestimate.

๐ŸŒฟ 4. Ask yourself โ€œWhat do I actually need today?โ€ Not what you should do. Not what everyone else needs. What YOU need. Sometimes the answer is movement. Sometimes stillness. Sometimes tears. Sometimes laughter. Sometimes an early night.

๐ŸŒฟ 5. Protect moments of silence Even tiny pockets of silence can feel deeply nourishing. A cup of tea without distraction. Sitting in the garden. Closing your eyes for two minutes before bed. Your mind does not need filling every second.

This is one of the reasons I love Kundalini Yoga so much. It brings us back into relationship with ourselves. Not the polished version. Not the productive version. The real version.
