What a day, what a week…

After the Grid Series Indoor Win on Monday, today it was time for racing at Daytona Motorsport Milton Keynes

After a disastrous qualifying session, where I couldn't put together a single clean lap, I only managed to make it into the B Final. The day seemed ruined...

But it turned out to be an opportunity.

I won the B Final, which earned me a place in the A Final. Starting only from P11, I fought my way into the top six on the very first lap.

The battle was intense for the rest of the race.

I climbed up to P2, then a junior driver joined the fight and I dropped back to P5. After that, I worked my way up to P4, and with three laps to go, I moved back into P2 and held on to it all the way to the chequered flag. 🏁

For once, luck was on my side as well.

To top off an incredible day, I also set the fastest lap of the entire event. 🏎️💥💥

Today was another round of the Cadet Grid Series.

After two months away, I finally returned to my “home” track in High Wycombe.

It was a really successful evening:
pole position in qualifying (really tight just 0.003)😜
a win in the first race, and a fantastic second place in the reverse-grid race after starting from 10th and last on the grid.

That was enough to secure the overall victory of the day 😉🏆

While others are enjoying the seaside or putting in laps on the track, I’m selling lemonade to fund my next karting training and championship.

Today was another round of the Daytona Championship in Milton Keynes. Format: heats.

It was only my 4th time driving this track, while I’m racing against guys who have been driving here for 4 years.

In the second heat, I managed to keep up with the overall event leader, which I’m really proud of. I finished just 1.5 seconds behind him and set my personal best lap, improving my previous time by an incredible 1.2 seconds.

Driving behind the leader was a great learning experience.

Heat 1: started P10, finished P4
Heat 2: started P1, finished P3
Final race: started P6, finished P7 after two incidents pushed me back to last place twice. Despite that, I kept fighting until the end and managed to recover to P7.

Great driving overall, although that one mistake still leaves me wanting more.

Yesterday I visited Watford Track again for the Grid Series.
It was quite an interesting day.

I managed to set my personal best lap under 50 seconds (49.299) almost a full second faster than my previous best.

I also messed up the boys’ plans once again…
Qualified P3, finished P2 in the first race.

The reversed grid race was really tough, starting from P6 with some very strong drivers ahead of me who defended hard and kept blocking any opportunities.

In the end, I finished P5 in that race, which was enough to secure the final spot on the podium overall.

Despite all the difficulties, Ernest is focused solely on racing and giving his very best.
He is currently the 🏎️FASTEST🏎️ ever on the track in High Wycombe in his category.
