Blythe Barracudas Swimming Club

For the past two weekends, a team of our fantastic Blythe coaches & teachers have taken part in lifesaving training. This is a vital part of keeping our swimmers and spectators safe at sessions and in/around the pool. 🛟🏊🏼‍♀️🏊‍♂️ Huge congratulations to Jamie, Chloe, Olivia, Keely and George for passing the NRASTAC exam. 🎉💙❤️

It has been a fantastic start to the summer holiday for our Barracudas! ☀️
Swimmers and their families have been enjoying themselves on their holidays 🏝️

What a finish! A fantastic BRONZE for Jack in the 50m freestyle 🤩 and an absolutely stonking personal best time for Noah in the 400m IM, finishing a mighty 4th! A massive well done to absolutely everyone who’s competed over the past two weeks - you have done yourselves and so proud! Now to relax…..before we go again in September! 💙❤️

Here we are, the final day of Summer Nationals 2026! It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks, with incredible and lots of smiles along the way. A big well done to everyone competing and supporting, especially the brilliant team at City of Birmingham | High-Performance Swimming Club 👏🏼🙌🏼 Today, we see Jack and Noah take to the stage one last time - good luck boys! 💙❤️

Congratulations to Jack once more - a chunky PB on his 50m butterfly in the heats yesterday, followed by another step-up in the final, where he placed 7th 🤩 We’re now at the penultimate day of Summer Nationals, and from here on out, it’s all about the boys - and today we’re all-in for Evan on his final day up in Sheffield! Good luck, Evan 🍀 - can’t wait to see how you get on 💙❤️

A big well done to Chloe for her 9th place finish last night in the 200m freestyle 🤩 We’re looking forward to seeing her race again today in the 200m breaststroke, right next to Livi, who is making her summer nationals debut! We’ve also got more of Noah, Evan and Jack coming up today! Good luck to everyone - is behind you all 💙❤️

Day 2 wasn’t too shabby! 😂 We saw two phenomenal from Evan in the 100m freestyle, his heat race producing a massive best time which he pushed down yet again in the final, finishing a mighty joint 4th in his joint age group. We also watched Noah finish 7th from his outside lane in the 200m butterfly, producing a great best time, and Josh taking a solid 10th in his 100m freestyle. But the cherry on top was Jack’s 100m freestyle! Jack has been producing the most incredible 100m swims throughout summer nationals, and yesterday was no exception - an absolutely stellar best time of 52.60 at 15 years old saw him crowned English Champion (16Y age group)! 🤩 Congratulations to all on some amazing racing 👏🏼🙌🏼 Today we see more racing from Jack and Evan and we also see Chloe make her English debut!
