- What a weekend for Team Syco at Teesside: Motorsports formally Teesside Drifting 😈 Our best Team finish to date at Drift League GB

Pro2 Drifter Vikki - Mrs Syco finally got her Mojo back after a fairly rubbish start to the year both mentally & mechanically, hoping she hangs onto that mojo with both hands now it’s back!

Her V7 did her proud again in Pro2, even with an active rear subframe this time, maybe it’s her lucky charm & she should just leave it that way 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ (obviously not as being one of our cars, it would choose to leave the chat at a totally inappropriate time 🙄)

Vikki’s best comp result to date, not quite in qualifying but overall - she finished 9th in qualifying with a 78 & then 6th/50 overall, finally getting some points on the board, she did get a lil bit lucky to some extent & fellow drivers must just have been blinded by the girl power 🧚‍♀️ & spun behind her 🫣🤣🫣🤣

Shame about the random issue just after the start line in the pro2 Jack Drake battle (she was just gonna pretend she was chasing Steven) we know she was really looking forward to that one 😂🙄

Steven Lynch Drifting nailed it in Pro on the Sunday in qualifying & landed in 4th place with a 88.7!

In battles Steven got a bye run in the top 32 & in the top 16 drew Bartek. Steven took the win & moved on to the great 8 against Jamie Stanton, it was an exciting & fun, very smoky battle but Super Stanton took the win and went on to the top podium position, so we can’t moan at that.

Looking forward to now pushing harder for the rest of the year, staying ON IT and hopefully, maybe, possibly, actually, enjoying it 🙈

Not the first round of Drift League GB that either of us were looking for unfortunately 😞

Pro2 Drifter Vikki - Mrs Syco started off really well in practise and then the car started playing up over heating fuel and not running properly, she came in to use the other car for a short while whilst we looked at hers, however the untested second car decided to wait until almost the front of the longggggg Pro2 queue before it cut out and wouldn’t start, so Vikki’s already short practise got cut even shorter and the accumulation of problems/sequence of events blew her mind going into qualifying not knowing if her car would run, so she drove like a bit of a plonker 🤯

Sunday came and Steven Lynch Drifting headed out in his newly rebuilt car only to suffer from teething issues, he swapped to Vikki’s car for the last part of practise and even with the gremlins scored 75 to qualify mid-pack. He went on to win his top 32 battle but sadly got knocked out in the top 16, not helped by increasing car issues 🤦🏼‍♀️
