Dotty Mays Homemade cards and crafts. Raising funds for St Giles Animal Welfare Centre Dotty Mays is the name I have given to my collection of hand made cards & crafts.

I took a break from crafting when work and family life didn’t give me much spare time. Move on to July 2022 and I’ve found myself pottering with crafty bits again …. Despite many clear outs I’ve still got some crafty bits about the house! Everything here is hand made by myself
My late father (the wood turner) has left me some unfinished projects and some other bits n bobs to up-cycle. Watch this space….

Plans are coming together for a drop in for crafters to meet up in Taunton on Wednesdays (10.30 to 3pm)
Initial planning that you can bring your own work to complete amongst fellow craft enthusiasts whilst having a social cuppa & chat.
And/ or you could try one of our crafts planned for the week. Eg Pumpkin making (fabric), badges & brooches, bunting, Christmas decorations, card making, needlefelting, knitting, painting… the list goes on!
There will also be craft kits to try your hand at.
You may like to come and share your craft with others to learn?
The best bit - it will be FREE
We will be using craft donations & some of our makes will be sold to raise money for charity.

Can you adopt a llama (keyring)?
Or make use of my up-cycled shopping bag. A new creation using fabric remnants. It’s got strong webbing handles & has “proper” stitching 😆

I’ve been a bit busy this week helping to sort donations at the new Salvation Army donation centre in Taunton.
It’s not open for trading yet but needs more volunteers to help get it ready
Could that be you?
A couple of spare hours or even a rainy bank holiday Monday ?
They are open for donations & helpers Monday - Friday 10-4
Check their page for other opening times
Going forward they have a community hub space that will be available for groups & local businesses to use 🤗
