That's a wrap on UKFL Champs 2026 🇬🇧🐾

With just one League dog ready to compete, Captain Laurel and Rosie made the trip to Anglesey for a weekend of racing. UK Flyball League 🇬🇧.

Sunday saw us join Wales' own Match Point Flyball for League racing, where we not only finished on the podium but Rosie also smashed out a new PB of 4.66 seconds. Turns out racing alongside those faster dogs really lit a fire under her... now if only she'd bring that same energy to the singles lanes 🤣👀

Monday was a little different. We stepped into the singles lanes under the BLACKOUT name for the very first time. It was also Laurel's first singles run in almost a year, so it's fair to say the nerves were real. Those enthusiastic early starts may have given that away! While we didn't quite complete the hat-trick of singles titles, we're still proud to come away with 3rd place. Maybe one step higher if someone had been a little less eager at the start gate... 👀😂

A huge thank you to Peyton from Musical Paws Flyball Team for ball collecting on Monday, and to Cat, Liam, Nikki, Finn, Shannon and Aaron from Velocity Flyball Teams for all your support in and out of the ring throughout the weekend. A HUGE Thank you as well to Laurel's dad for the company, chauffeuring us, the box and everything else that comes with a flyball weekend all the way to Angelsey. We really couldn't have done it without you. And of course, thank you to our own BLACKOUT team who were cheering us on from home via the live stream. It genuinely meant so much. 💜

A few months ago, we could easily have decided to sit this Championships out. Since the team split we've had very little proper training together and very little competition experience over the past year. But we chose to show up anyway, push through the nerves, and run the lanes.

Now it's time to grow and see you all again next year; more team dogs making their debuts, more memories, and hopefully bringing home a few more rosettes 🐾🏆⚡️🔥

Today is all about warming up, settling in, and making those final preparations before the racing begins.

Tomorrow we'll be joining Match Point Flyball in Open League, and on Monday Rosie will be defending her Singles title... can she make it 3 for 3? 👀🏆
