BRENDON 66 YFC PRESENTATION

What a season 2022/23 we have had.
U11s moved into TYRO League this season. Unfortunately, they had quite a few games cancelled because of the weather, but the games they did play were fantastic. They had a mixture of wins.
U10s had there last year in EDMSL which was a great season for them, with having a winning streaks especially from December onwards, when it came to the cup games they done really well getting through to quilter finals which is where unfortunately they got knocked out.
Firstly, We would like to thank all the Managers and Coaches within the club who have given up all their free time to volunteer and make the kids football enjoyable. Thanks to the parents/carers for getting the kids there and watching in all weather's. Then the last Big Thanks is to the players this season. It's been enjoyable to watch you all come on so much. Hopefully, you have all enjoyed yourself, and we look forward to the new season coming.

🔴⚫️ Silent Support Weekend🔴⚫️

This will run similar to previous silent weekends, except this time coaches can support their players during matches. Spectators are expected to only support both teams with positive applause 👏

🔴⚫️We hope you all enjoy a good weekend of football 🔴⚫️

🔴⚫️🔴⚫️ U10s 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️

The kids played their hearts out today in their league fixture, had 3 of their team mates missing, but every player worked hard and played as a team.
The drills that you are doing at training is really being shown in the matches.

Lewis was our Manager/Coaches Player Of The Match, he was organising his team on that pitch today and was all over the pitch himself.

Oscar was also Manager/Coaches Player Of The Match and Parents Player Of The Match, he's been with us for a few months now and today played great out on that pitch.

Well Done Keep Up The Fantastic Playing.

Played a friendly this weekend

The boys played as a team, every player worked their socks off and put in a graft.
They all need a pat on the back
Finally the training is starting to pay off
Also our 2 new signing made their debut.
All of us coaches are so proud of the boys today

Ollie was our Manager/Coaches Man Of The Match he was simply outstanding

And for the Parents Man Of The Match was every player this goes to show how much we have improved and how we are now playing as a team.

Well Done Keep Up The Team Work Boys

🖤Remembrance Sunday❤

All Clubs and Teams showed their respect today with a 1 minute silence before each game and some wore poppy's.
This was our U10s team today wearing their poppy's while playing their match.
Unfortunately didn't manage to get any of the U11s. All our Inclusive teams did the 1 minute silence at their training sessions as they didnt have matches.

Silent Support Weekend (5th & 6th November 2022)

On the weekend of the 5th & 6th November 2022, EDMSL and The Southampton & District Tyro League will be one of the Leagues around England piloting a Silent Support Weekend.

We need a reminder to make sure we put the players first. All the time, in every match.

Too often, there are too many voices from the touchline, too many opinions, and too much unnecessary distraction.

It’s why we’re trialling a Silent Support Weekend to promote Respect in Youth Football, and we want coaches and spectators to play an important role in our pilot programme.

This will involve coaches and spectators having minimal verbal contact throughout games. Praise good play by applauding and be supportive to both teams; but above all else let the players play and express themselves out on the pitch.

Our aim at EDMSL is simple: to raise awareness of the need to create a positive and pressure-free environment in which children can enjoy football and learn to love and develop their game, without an over-emphasis on winning at all costs.

⚽️ What fantastic football matches the club have had last weekend. Third game of the season for our mainstream teams and the Inclusive teams started their league. ⚽️

With it being the weekend, We had our CWO Diana pop up to a few matches, which was nice to see her about chating to the parents while watching the games. She will be coming around to see all teams so keep an eye out for her.

With this terrible weather we have just had 🙈
We are glad to come through a Red Weather Warning with no serious damage to any player or family

Our thoughts are with the clubs who have suffered losses during the 2 storms, Who may of had damage to the club/families, each financially and emotionally damages youth set ups.

We are looking forward to passing this and continue a great season after the last 2 years of world wide disruption.

The youth of today are the future, the future stars of all non league to Premiership Football and beyond.

Good luck to all youth clubs nation wide.

Together we will get through this.

Good luck to all teams playing Sunday.

What a year we have had, the start of the season has seen good in all our teams, in what has been another challenging year given the circumstances with Covid-19, Lockdowns, Isolations, etc.

U10's adding a few new players to make a stronger team, seeing them winning games, which moved them up a league after six games.

Our U9's not starting great with injuries and illnesses, but we added some new players to grow the team, which saw them finish the year with three wins on the trot.

Great finish to the year.

All the teams from Brendon 66 Inclusive have had another great start to the season, too, which is fantastic to hear, and if you haven't already taken a look at their page,

Let's all carry this on into next year and enjoy the rest of the season 2021/22

Happy New Year To You All
From Brendon 66 YFC.
