You don’t need to endure forms of exercise that you don’t enjoy … have fun with it, find what works for you, and try out all the different ways of moving your beautiful body that take your fancy! 🤸🏼♀️🌊🏃🏻♀️🏋🏼♀️

After 2 years of successfully dodging it, I’ve been totally floored by covid over the past week. The main things that got me through were various forms of juice, my little fluffy sidekick peanut, and more sleep than I thought was humanly possible (swipe >>)
If we strip it back, our health really is all we have.
You can build a fantastic life, have all the best plans in the world to look forward to, and the best people around you, but all of that falls into insignificance if you’re not able to enjoy it because you’re unwell.
So if the past 2 years have taught us anything it should be to prioritise our health and wellness at all costs.
Sure, germs are inevitable, but it’s how you protect yourself from them and bounce back that’s important.
Build, and nourish your strong and capable body, making it ready to fight whatever the world throws at it, so that you can go on to enjoy all the little, and big things in life … because that’s what it’s all about ♥️

Practice makes progress ⏳
This statement is applicable to many areas of life, and all too often we strive for perfection when it comes to our goals.
When starting out on a new journey, learning a skill, or bettering ourselves in any way, I believe progress should be the focus, rather than perfection.
Perfection is subjective in many ways; who’s version of perfect are you aiming for? … Instead, make progress your version of perfect.
Stay in your own lane, and aim to simply be better than you were yesterday … That sounds pretty perfect to
Sometimes self love is treating yourself, indulging and relaxing … but self love can also look like making time for yourself, showing up for yourself, and keeping the promises you made to yourself.
… That’s the ultimate form of self love.

Me looking ahead to what the coming months will bring … (just without the bubbly in hand)
The next few months have got a lot in store for me, a lot of hard work, some great challenges, and some big moves … 👀
If your goals don’t excite you and scare you in equal measure, you’re not aiming high enough … “Don’t fear failure, fear being in the same place next year as you are right now” 🚀
This isn’t just for the Ladies … Gents and fellow coaches, listen up because this one’s important 📣
It’s no secret that the menstrual cycle can be super hard to deal with, for many different reasons.
One of these reasons is it can be incredibly frustrating when it affects your training. Sometimes it feels like one step forward, 2 steps back. One session you made incredible progress, then literally the next day you could feel like a completely different person.
This change in strength, and energy levels is down to our hormones. Swipe through this post for a full explanation of each hormonal phase, but here’s a summary for you:
⬆️ Day 1-13 : Oestrogen takes over - the superwoman hormone. She makes us feel invincible, strong, capable and ready to take on anything! This phase is called the follicular phase.
⬇️ Day 14-28 : Ovulation occurs, then we’re onto the next phase, the luteal phase. Progesterone comes out to play; strength and energy levels are decreased, hunger and cravings go through the roof, and not to mention
any signs of PMS that might also affect us 🥴
So with all of this in mind, is it any wonder your training ability may fluctuate through the month?
If you struggle with sessions at certain times through your cycle, please please listen to what your body is telling you. I can’t stress it enough.
❗️Tell your coach, because your training can easily be adapted to be more suitable. (And if your coach isn’t comfortable talking about this… it’s time to find a different coach, but that’s a conversation for a different day ✋🏼)
Then when you’re back to feeling fierce and ready to rock and roll, you can focus on making all the gains you want 💪🏼🚀

How will YOU make today great? Too many of us rely on external factors to decide wether it’s going to be a good or bad day.
But what if today you were intentional with your actions and thoughts, and make a deliberate effort to make today a success.
You might not be in control of everything that happens to you today, but you are in control of how you react to those things.

I put off my run ALL day, for so long in fact that it was dark when I finished it 🌖 (although my red face is definitely still visible even in the dark 😂)
There was no need to procrastinate for so long, it was no where near as bad as I imagined it would be, and I feel A-MAZING for getting it done!
So if you’re doing the same and putting off your workout … just get it done. Stop avoiding it, and get started.
Once it’s done, it’s done. And the sense of achievement you get once you’ve done it is 100x better than that feeling of avoiding it ☝🏻

Let go of the limitations you set yourself ⛓🗣
I always tell my clients that they can do anything they set their mind to, sticking by my motto of ‘YES YOU CAN’
But, I’ve always told myself that I’m ‘not a runner’, meaning it doesn’t come naturally to me… im very slow, it hurts, and i just find it really bloody hard.
And because I’ve told myself that for long enough, I actually believed it.
Those limiting beliefs have held me back for long enough.
I CAN run, I just don’t find it very easy. But that doesn’t mean I’m not a runner.
SO… to prove myself wrong, I’m running the Southampton half marathon in April, and I’m going to document my training on here with brutal honesty, in hopes to inspire others that tell themselves that they can’t do it, because if I can do it … anyone can.
It’s going to be a long, and bumpy ride, so strap yourself in. Here goes … 😂🏃🏼♀️

Friday - Sunday equates to 42.5% of your week, and will also equate to 42.5 % of your progress …. (Or lack of).
If you’re struggling to see results from your hard work, maybe it’s time for you to take a look at your weekends and see where some changes could be made.
So… will you use that 42.5% to your advantage this weekend?
Consistency is key for seeing the results you want, even at the weekends! 😅💪🏼
The New Year can be a very motivating, positive and inspiring time. Goals, resolutions, targets, and a whole load of opportunity lies before us.
I was excited for today, and had great expectations of achieving amazing things, grabbing life by the balls and getting back into my routine! First day back to work, and back to normal life.
But it wasn’t as great as I’d hoped. Since the new year, I’ve not been able to shake this feeling of overwhelm, and anxiety, with a pit in my stomach that doesn’t seem to want to budge.
And it seems a lot of you are feeling the same.
Is it any wonder? The New Year brings with it a whole heap of pressure and expectation that is thrust upon us, and we just have to roll with it.
Normally training is a great outlet for me and my emotions, but today I just couldn’t face a workout. So instead I took myself out for a beautiful walk at sunset, with a fab podcast, because I knew that was right for me.
You think that with the New Year things will come easily, energy, motivation, that fire in your belly, it’ll just… happen, right? Well it doesn’t for everyone.
It’s hard. It’s hard for me, a coach. And it’s likely to be hard for a lot of others.
We’re only human, and there shouldn’t be this huge pressure on our shoulders to achieve everything all at once.
You absolutely should try to start the year heading in right direction, and set yourself up for success, but do things at your own pace, and what’s right FOR YOU.
What I’m saying is - stay in your own lane, go at your own pace, and, if you’re also feeling overwhelmed anxious and weird, you’re not alone … it’s very normal.
The feeling will pass, as will the hundreds of social media posts about goals and resolutions, and life will feel normal again soon ✨
