The first ATHX, and our very first comp … complete ✅

Headed into this event just to give it a go, wanting to enjoy it, and prove to myself that I CAN!

I jumped headfirst into an environment SO far out of my comfort zone, and faced my own limiting beliefs front on, and you know what? I bloody loved it!

We’re often so quick to doubt ourselves, and question our ability. But if I’ve learned anything from this weekend, it’s that we’re more capable than we think 👊🏻

Also … special shout out to for being my amazing teammate. I’m super proud of you and all you’ve overcome while climbing the mountain that’s been this year. But now you’re standing at the top, enjoying the view🏔️

The answers to these questions will help you to get your head in the game, and wake up each day with purpose ⛽️

Don’t waste the rest of the year floating through life without direction and intention; spend some time understanding what you want to achieve, then keep your eyes firmly on the prize, and get to work.

How I feel right now is the best I’ve felt for a long time ✨

And it’s no coincidence that my training, and day to day routine is also the best it’s ever been. My nutrition, my sleep, my work. All of it - flying.

I’m working hard, i’m committed, and I’m trusting the process.

Like so many others, I struggled for a loooong (v v long) time trying to force fast results, and instant wins with training / fat loss

But learning to enjoy the process, rather than being fixated on the results has totally changed the game for me

This is the Marchon way, and it’s just the start for me, so roll on what’s to come 🔥

First two weeks at Marchon ✅

I remember the first time I stepped foot inside Marchon HQ; it was a cold Sunday in October, the first of Many Sundays spent studying there with for my Level 3 qual.

I was greeted by two friendly faces in the form of and , I was unaware at the time, but they were two individuals who would go on to change my life in many ways.

I’ve been invested in the Marchon ecosystem since that day, whether it be PFCA mentorship, the online programming, FFC seminars and courses, or working with the fantastic Nutrition team; MARCHON has been a true guiding light in both my training and my Coaching career 💡🔦

Which is why joining, and learning from the Marchon coaching team is such a privilege - so thank you for having me with you boys. I’m very proud to stand beside you on the floor 👊🏻

Being part of a team, and company who I have such respect for, but who also believe equally as much in me, really is something very special.

What a first two weeks it’s been. More of the same to come 🚀

😷⭐️ TOP TIPS ON TRAINING WHEN YOU’RE UNWELL!! ⭐️😷

1) don’t do it.

The odds are that you’re feeling unwell at the moment, or you have been fairly recently. There’s so much going around at the moment, it’s winter, we’re human, it happens. 🦠

Recovering from a cough, cold or any of the other nasty virus’ that are flying about can take time. We need to respect that. And respect our bodies recovery time.

Training should be the least of your worries if you have an illness, or if you’re getting over one ❌

So, here are my actual tips:

1) Recovery should be your priority right now (rest and sleep are your best friends)

2) Nourish your body with nutritious foods, and stay hydrated

2) Once you’re feeling more like yourself, ease yourself back into some gentle movement when you feel it’s right to. Think walking, stretching, low intensity stuff to start with, then build from there.

That way when you’re back fighting fit, you can attack your sessions how you used to! 🔥

Like mother like son 🤍 Leo had great fun at the gym yesterday watching and learning from his mum and he saw how strong, capable and bloody badass she is! What a woman 🤩

Now the summer holidays are here, sometimes childcare can be an issue, so your children/babies are welcome come along to BMA, and my studio too! They can even join in if they fancy it, nothing like learning the ropes early 🤪

I’m a huge believer in the importance of your children having exposure to exercise at an early age. We can’t underestimate the benefits of instilling healthy habits, and developing a positive relationship with exercise in their early years! 💪🏼

📚 I qualified as a PT almost 2 years ago, wow time flies!

📍 I coach from 2 locations: Segensworth PO15 at , and at my home studio based in Durley SO32

💪🏼 My motto is ‘YES YOU CAN’ and my clients continue to prove this daily! They’re always showing themselves that they are capable of achieving what they once doubted they could!

🧠 I’m a firm believer in training for mind and body. Keeping on top of my own training is a must for the quality of my mental health, and I’m sure many of my clients will agree. Exercise runs wayyyy deeper than just chasing physical goals!

🐶 I have a 4 year old English bulldog called Frank

☕️ I’m a big coffee lover with a huge sweet tooth so will rarely turn down a sweet treat

Cheers to good health, because in our typical style as humans, it’s not until it’s taken away from us that we realise just how important it is 🤔

After 2 years of successfully dodging it, I’ve been totally floored by covid over the past week. The main things that got me through were various forms of juice, my little fluffy sidekick peanut, and more sleep than I thought was humanly possible (swipe >>)

If we strip it back, our health really is all we have.

You can build a fantastic life, have all the best plans in the world to look forward to, and the best people around you, but all of that falls into insignificance if you’re not able to enjoy it because you’re unwell.

So if the past 2 years have taught us anything it should be to prioritise our health and wellness at all costs.

Sure, germs are inevitable, but it’s how you protect yourself from them and bounce back that’s important.

Build, and nourish your strong and capable body, making it ready to fight whatever the world throws at it, so that you can go on to enjoy all the little, and big things in life … because that’s what it’s all about ♥️

This statement is applicable to many areas of life, and all too often we strive for perfection when it comes to our goals.

When starting out on a new journey, learning a skill, or bettering ourselves in any way, I believe progress should be the focus, rather than perfection.

Perfection is subjective in many ways; who’s version of perfect are you aiming for? … Instead, make progress your version of perfect.

Stay in your own lane, and aim to simply be better than you were yesterday … That sounds pretty perfect to

This isn’t just for the Ladies … Gents and fellow coaches, listen up because this one’s important 📣

It’s no secret that the menstrual cycle can be super hard to deal with, for many different reasons.

One of these reasons is it can be incredibly frustrating when it affects your training. Sometimes it feels like one step forward, 2 steps back. One session you made incredible progress, then literally the next day you could feel like a completely different person.

This change in strength, and energy levels is down to our hormones. Swipe through this post for a full explanation of each hormonal phase, but here’s a summary for you:

⬆️ Day 1-13 : Oestrogen takes over - the superwoman hormone. She makes us feel invincible, strong, capable and ready to take on anything! This phase is called the follicular phase.

⬇️ Day 14-28 : Ovulation occurs, then we’re onto the next phase, the luteal phase. Progesterone comes out to play; strength and energy levels are decreased, hunger and cravings go through the roof, and not to mention
any signs of PMS that might also affect us 🥴

So with all of this in mind, is it any wonder your training ability may fluctuate through the month?

If you struggle with sessions at certain times through your cycle, please please listen to what your body is telling you. I can’t stress it enough.

❗️Tell your coach, because your training can easily be adapted to be more suitable. (And if your coach isn’t comfortable talking about this… it’s time to find a different coach, but that’s a conversation for a different day ✋🏼)

Then when you’re back to feeling fierce and ready to rock and roll, you can focus on making all the gains you want 💪🏼🚀

You might not be in control of everything that happens to you today, but you are in control of how you react to those things.

Let this be a lesson to you …

I put off my run ALL day, for so long in fact that it was dark when I finished it 🌖 (although my red face is definitely still visible even in the dark 😂)

There was no need to procrastinate for so long, it was no where near as bad as I imagined it would be, and I feel A-MAZING for getting it done!

So if you’re doing the same and putting off your workout … just get it done. Stop avoiding it, and get started.

Once it’s done, it’s done. And the sense of achievement you get once you’ve done it is 100x better than that feeling of avoiding it ☝🏻
