Good mooorning everyone, we’ve snapped the cows having their Monday meeting discussing what’s on at the park this week:

🍛 The Woodland Café (open 10.30-4.30) is serving a selection of takeaway meals including vegan or chicken tagine.
🔨 Our Rangers are continuing their maintenance of paths and trails along the park ahead of the half term holiday.

See that autumn glow in my cheeks ✨🍂 I set myself a goal to jog to my local shop & back to get some fruit. I did it!
Jumped outta bed, cleansing warm water & lemon, 15 mins Buddhist chanting, 30 min mindful movement/yoga/qigong & my jog.
I love starting my day this way, really sets me up, clears my head, my energy & helps my focus. ✨

The fresh sunny autumnal pathway I jogged on was beautiful. 🍂🍄

It’s been a really busy week celebrating my daughters bday & extra yoga work.
Yesterday my small cosy lounge was full of 6 high energy loud 12 yr old girls & some! 🥴

I haven’t been feeling particularly energised or light lately, more heavy & burdened which isn’t so like me. Changes in natures seasons, hormones shifts, but one thing for sure, daily movement, Buddhist practice, time in nature, hydration, plant food, rest & family time with my girls, supports my energy. ✨

This morning was a gift for me, as I’ve giving all week.

My divine message & gift from nature from my walk today. 🍃
Do you ever notice if/when you start to feel some anxiety?
I recognise I go through cycles. I almost see it as a gift or old friend that visits, it’s trying to tell me something.

When I first recognise these feelings my mind likes to cling, label & creates fear.
For example: why am I feeling like this? Is there something wrong? Like there is something to fear.
The nature of the mind wants answers to feel safe & this can be helpful sometimes to be guided to reach out for help. I’m learning ‘to be’ with whatever I’m feeling & tune into what it’s trying to tell me.

I’ve observed over the last few months my mind & thoughts are very active, possibly overstimulated.
I’m employed, run a business, a home, a family, studying. Im grateful, very grateful but it’s a lot.

I wake up & thoughts of ‘concern’ take over. I’m grateful for cultivating practices & tools that support me to master my mind a little (an ongoing project).
I use my breath to bring myself/awareness to a safer, calmer & grounded space, my body. When my mind/thoughts are over active I now recognise that is what causes the anxious feeling. Im not having enough stillness, doing nothing.
There’s nothing wrong within me, it’s outside of me. The fast pace life, the pressures, the unnatural and forced routines. I notice this energy builds in my mind, in my thoughts & starts presenting in my body & emotions.

There’s always a light, a quiet, safe space within that I connect with easily when I come into nature, be still, breath consciously. Calm & quiet the mind, drop into my heart, my body, my roots. Trust. Trust like the tree.

So today before going home to sit at my computer & be with my wonderful but overwhelmed mind, I gifted myself with the essential stillness of nature.

The tree isn’t anxious, it’s not thinking, it’s rooted, it’s still & it’ll grow if it follows the light.

✨ SGI Buddhism 🪷
Today I wish to share my journey with becoming a member of SGI Buddhism✨
A mystical journey along the way & one I truly believe I was guided to. ✨

When I returned to the UK from my trip to Jamaica, May this year (2022) to be with my husband I felt lost & feelings of isolation. (We’re still on the Visa journey to have my family together).
When I sat with the sadness I tuned into what I needed. Having to be patient & hopeful to get my husband here to the UK I needed a community & a practice that would actively encourage me & have consistent in person contact.
I was seeking a ‘Sangha’ a local, active spiritual community that meet & practice together. 🙏🏻
I’m blessed with the most incredible friendships 💕 but day in day out everyone is balancing & managing their goals, work, study, family, home, relationships & I needed consistency to connect & practice.

I prayed, I manifested, I asked & literally that same month a beautiful shining light ✨ Giordana, a local sister sent me an invite to her bday party. A mutual friend has told me of Giordana & somehow we had also linked on FB. Giordana happened to be very active in a local SGI Buddhist community. 💛

I accepted the invite, I turned up at the beautiful home, having never met anyone there, was a house full of warmth, acceptance, diversity. I had found my ‘Sangha’.

The journey continues & I will share more about SGI Buddhism.
Since that party (May) I have been very committed, dedicated, active & supported.
Me & my girls attend an ‘in-person’ monthly Buddhist‘ discussion meeting’. We chant together & discuss a topic from the teachings.

My favourite part is meeting each individual exactly where they are at (compassion). It is the most beautifully diverse group of beings.

I am apart of the ‘Young Women’s Division’. Supported by a wonderful young lady Dorota 🙏🏻💛
I commit to 2 in person meets a month & 1/2 online meets a month as well as other social meets.
I’ve made new inspiring friends & it feels like a family. ✨

Freckles dog 13/7/06-3/9/22

My heart feels broken right now but also utterly expanded with joy & privilege ✨

I had to make the hardest decision in my life today but I trust the right one.
Freckles was an amazing old lady, 16 yrs old & had incredible fighting spirit. She is such an inspiration to me. 💛
Her body was tired & wobbly & she was starting to struggle.
It was an utter privilege & honour to take care of her in her last months/days we became closer than ever.

The 1st collage is of her last day/hours. We took her to our favourite tree/local woods & sat with her 💚🌳
26 yr old me, after much loss in my life, being on my own in my family home I grew up in, I was @ a party one night & heard about some Springer Spaniel puppies & that was it! Freckles became my family. She fitted in my hand when I first met her💚
We’ve had many adventures. Her favourite things were my, daughter Seli, cuddles, the woodland, getting socks, opening presents, fetching sticks in water & food! 💕

There’s a huge empty feeling in our house that she filled with soo much love. 🧡

Travel well freckles my Buddha dog, just keep running in that huge green meadow free & unattached from a old body. Spring free beautiful waggy girl, we love you deeply forever 🙏🏻✨ thank you for being my most consistent friend with unconditional love. Such a privilege to love a being this much. 🙏🏻✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Earth is all about nourishment. If your feeling you could do with some support, guidance in any life transitions, feel you would like to embody more of the qualities of earth, then please do connect. 💚

Chinese medicine the summer ☀️ is the element of fire 🔥 & related to the organ the heart & small intestine.

We all experienced the heat, fire this summer in the uk & the feelings of expansion, joy 🧡 & lots of socialising. I loved the connection but also experienced burnout at times when out of balance.

Late summer is associated to the element of earth 🌍.
Did/can you feel this transition?
I experience it as a softening, quietening & a grounding & this feels in tune with the qualities of earth.

Earth energy is s great support especially in times of transition. I’m grounding & tuning into it at present to support the transition from the school summer holidays back into school & work.
Earth is a very special element. When in balance one can embody empathy ,trust, faith & being ok with ‘not knowing’. Out of balance it might present as worry, smothering, overthinking, a stagnant energy.
Connected to the organs the spleen & the stomach. Spleen helps let go of toxins & the stomach is about how we digest in the body & in life. The spirit quality is ‘Yi’ = intention.

In Chinese medicine there are many ways to support bringing balance into the mind, body & spirit. Acupuncture, herbs & a movement practice like Qigong.
Qigong works by moving with intention & awareness. It’s supports ‘Qi’ life force energy to flow with ease around the body nourishing the organs through the meridians.
There are certain practices in Qigong to support a healthy balanced flow of Qi to the spleen & stomach & help balance earth element within.
I offer Qigong sessions, Yoga, usually a fusion. All mindful movement practices that honour the power of the breath, intention & regulating the nervous system. So we can show up for all we do in the best nourished way possible.
