🏀 Her World, Her Rules – Girls’ Basketball Tournament (South) 💜
Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC have been selected to host a Her World, Her Rules girls’ tournament in the South, supported by Basketball England 🎉

Her World, Her Rules is a national initiative designed to inspire, empower and support girls in basketball - creating positive, fun and inclusive experiences on and off the court.

👧 Ages: U12s – U16s
📍 Location: Deer Park Secondary School (hosted by Whiteley Warriors)
💷 Cost: FREE to register
🎯 Who’s it for: New and existing players - all abilities welcome

Another success from our Grace Project which was funded by Sport England. The project was aimed at empowering and educating girls and women to become role models in the sport for future generations. We provided courses for L2 referees and L2 coaches as well as ongoing mentoring and support to help our candidates get to the finish line.
Issy Potter has just completed her award and received her L2 Referee qualification from Basketball England. Her tutor said after her final sign off game “Issy had a great final game with me - she is gonna be great” which is high praise indeed.
The YBL are thankful that we have been able to do things like this to benefit the basketball community.

🟢 Monday & Tuesday – Intro & Skill Days
These are your fresh legs days.
Perfect if:

You’ve never been to camp before
You want to hit the ground running
You want to learn new moves, shots, and skills
Anything goes on these days – loads of coaching, loads of reps, loads of fun.

We’ll also start introducing 3v3 concepts so you’re ready for…

🏆 Wednesday – Competition Day

This is where you put it all into action.
3v3 games ALL day
Tournament format
Prizes up for grabs
Test what you learned on Monday & Tuesday
Only 5 spaces left

🟠 Thursday – Fundamentals Day

This is your sharpen up day.
We tighten:
Footwork
Finishing
Shooting form
Defence
Decision making
Perfect if you want real improvement before the season ends.

🍕 Friday – Finale Camp (Pizza Day)
Normal camp day but with extra fun and food to finish the week properly.

Six hours of basketball a day is something we simply can’t replicate in weekly sessions.

We’ve now passed 100 bookings already, which is brilliant to see.
Because of the demand, we’ve added extra staff on Wednesday, which means we’ve been able to open up a few more spaces for the 3×3 tournament day 🔥

What a Day for Grassroots Basketball CIC 🏀🔥

A huge thank you to every single player, parent, coach and volunteer who made today such an incredible day for our ever-growing Grassroots Basketball and Outlet Basketball community.

Across the South of Hampshire, our development players came together for a five-hour tournament at Deer Park—part of a massive nine-hour day of basketball from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Two training sessions, five competitive fixtures, live scoring, junior referees, trainee table officials… today had it all.

We welcomed teams from across our pathway, including all the Outlet Basketball Club development clubs

• Warriors U13 Girls

Every team competed in the Grassroots Basketball League, showing great energy, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was fantastic to see so many players on court, all the different coloured bibs flying around, and such brilliant enthusiasm throughout the day.

A special mention goes to our junior referees and trainee table officials who stepped up brilliantly—most games were live scored on HoopsHQ, with the scorebook running alongside. Their learning, confidence and professionalism grew with every game.

And finally, a massive thank you to one of our development community coaches, Ben Lin who put in an incredible nine hours today. Coaching, refereeing, court management, hosting—you name it, he did it. Outstanding work and hugely appreciated by everyone at Warriors, Outlet and all our development clubs.

We’re excited to welcome Gosport Gunners Basketball Club into the league after Christmas as the community continues to grow.
