That said, we all now an experienced runner who has gone out with a niggle or not given themselves enough recovery time following a race or injury.

UK Athletics in cooperation with the Home Country Athletics Federations have published updated safety advice for runners as well as suggested guidance for non-runners.
If you're a lone runner, great advice on pre run planning, how to react to negative behaviours during a run and reporting issues post run.
Also a great section for the public in general as to how to be a running ally, sometimes what's deemed to be a joke or fun can be very intimidating to an individual.

Speaker: Lucy O’Connor
Title: Poseidon Amateur Boxing Club
Bio: During her career as an International boxer, Lucy was the first ever British woman to win a European Gold Medal. Ranked in the top 5 in the world at three different weights, she captained the inaugural Great Britain Women's Boxing Team and had her sights set on London 2012 until ill health forced her to retire from the team. As a qualified boxing coach since 2008 and now a Sports Therapist, she is able to provide muscle and biomechanical assessment, sports injury treatment and rehabilitation, and sports trauma management.
Synopsis: Since its launch in March 2013, Poseidon ABC has been a tremendous success story. An amateur boxing club that welcomes everyone through their doors, they pride themselves on creating a friendly, enjoyable environment whilst providing high quality boxing coaching, strength, conditioning and sports therapy. They offer members elite training resources, one to one training and a safe and effective learning environment regardless of ability and without discrimination. Recent investment by Eastleigh Borough Council will see the club expand to five times its size. The plans include a dedicated strength and conditioning gym, three competition boxing rings, shower and changing facilities and office space. The new facilities will offer both Regional and National standard training facilities which are unrivalled in the south of England. Lucy will give an insight in Poseidon ABC’s journey and their plans for the future.
• Find out more about our neighbours at the Ageas Bowl and try and persuade Lucy to talk about her international boxing career.
Tonight's talk at 7.30pm in the HERC Clubhouse at the Ageas - all welcome including non club members...
Speaker: Nikki Caputa - UK Hypopressives
Title: Would you like to learn how to improve your running endurance, look taller, look slimmer….. and improve your sex life?
Bio: Nikki is a health and fitness coach and a level 5 remedial and sports massage therapist. Her background is in post-natal fitness, body transformations and personal training, and more recently she has been helping a wide spectrum of clients using Hypopressives. She is one of only two Hypopressives Master Trainers in the UK and since using the method on her clients has seen massive postural improvements and a decrease in back pain and other related issues.
Synopsis: Unlike conventional CORE training such as Yoga and Pilates, HYPOPRESSIVE training is the only safe way to train and re-program your core muscles. The method allows you to safely train both deep and superficial core muscles and teaches the core to work as it is designed on a subconscious level. Learn the science behind the method......after 30 years of use there is plenty of research to back up the amazing results and it has been used with Mums, athletes, tri-athletes, peri and post menopausal women, back pain sufferers and those with hernias and prolapses.
• Both men and women can suffer from a weak pelvic floor, so everyone should come and listen to Nikki make a case for Hypopressives to improve posture, core strength and endurance.
