Tough day on court today with Sharks taking a large bite out of Harriers. Solent Sharks went away with the win 28-63. Harriers will regroup and go again in two weeks when they go looking for that elusive home win against Hereward Heat, before facing Sharks again in 4 weeks time.
EWWB Tournament today for both the first team and second team. Good luck to both teams.
Good result on the road today. Long journey but a sweeter journey home when you come away with the win. 16-53 point win today. Great work Team.
Next league game is at home against our local rivals Sussex Sharks next Sunday - if you want to be part of the action it's free to come along and watch 10am for a 10.20am Tip at Oasis Acadamy Sholing.
Before that is the EWWB Tournament tomorrow at Egham - results and reports will follow.
Saturday 22nd October 2022 Game Day 3
Another back-to-back weekend of basketball for Hampshire Harriers. Saturday sees Game Day 3 in the National League and involves the 300+ mile round trip to Cambridgeshire to face Hereward Heat. Sunday sees both the main team and the Development team in action at Egham (Surry) for the first weekend of the England & Wales Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.
Updates will be posted throughout the weekend whenever possible. Good luck Harriers.
Yesterday saw our first victory of the season - today we experienced our first defeat but this score only tells half the story.
Going into the final quarter today Harriers were trailing 19-33, but a spirited recovery against a tiring Folkstone team meant the final score was a lot closer than would have been predicted at the start of the quarter.
Well played to Folkstone Arrows for a good game, played in the right spirit, especially after a long trip (and an early start). Very well played by Harriers, who again gave debut League starts to players, - another excellent TEAM performance.
Reasons to be proud despite a disappointing scoreline in the end.
Together we roll on to the next one.
Well done team.
Match Day 2 - (Today)

MATCH DAY 1
GOOD LUCK HARRIERS
Weekend preview
After a long hot summer the wheelchair basketball season begins for Harriers, with a tough double-header this weekend.
Going into the final game of last season Hampshire Harriers, TV Kings and Folkstone Arrows were all on similar points and we were battling out for second place - a reward that finally went to TV Kings with their win over Harriers.
This season things look a little different for Harriers, with a number of last season's players leaving over the summer. This has created opportunities for some of last season's bench players to break through and push for court time and offering opportunities of league debuts to some as well to the newer players who joined over the summer.
We look forward as a team, to challenging ourselves this weekend against two very good sides. The first being an away game against Thames Valley Kings before our first home game on Sunday against Folkstone Arrows. Final scores and match reports will posted here over the weekend.
A live stream video of our game on Saturday should be online via TV Kings YouTube page - if available, a link will be added in the comments below.
Good Luck Harriers. Play to win but enjoy the experience.
Upcoming games this weekend.
Saturday 1st Oct away at Thames Valley Kings
Sunday 2nd Oct home against Folkstone Arrows
With the new season starting this weekend we thought this would be a great opportunity to 'brush down and scrub up' the Harriers page.
Expect more content, match reports and (hopefully) better music to follow soon.
Good start to 2022 with a win (9-01-22) against Aces.
Harriers travel to Windsor for what will be a action pack game against Windsor Monarchs
This weekend Harriers are away to hopefully secure the win 3/3 games
