.... well it’s true! Courses will resume from the 12th April 👍🏼

On the 22nd February 2021, the government announced their 4 step plan to bring the country out of lockdown at a safe and steady pace. This is welcome news, and we look forward to courses resuming in some form from April. For some sectors of industry, the road map clearly outlines proposed dates for restarting. However, it is currently unclear how these plans will affect sail training. British Marine and our governing body the RYA are currently reviewing the detailed regulations and will update training centres in due course. With a diligent approach, we are looking forward to a more normal summer of sailing and to welcoming you back to BOSS!

COVID-19 - Sailing courses during the pandemic
UPDATED 05/01/2021

In line with the national measures put in place by the UK Government to control the spread of COVID-19, we regret to confirm that all practical and in person classroom courses scheduled for January, February and early March 2021 have been suspended.

Non residential courses will resume from 7th March, subject to restrictions being sufficiently eased by then. We are, of course, monitoring developments and this page will be updated accordingly. All customers with course booked during January and February, will be contacted directly to discuss alternative arrangements.

Chaperone positions available for our summer youth courses. Candidates should ideally be between the ages of 18 - 30, who can relate to teenagers! DBS required which we will organise. It is a non paid position, however all onboard accommodation, food and equipment will be provided, plus the opportunity to gain RYA qualifications. Can also use this for the DofE residential as we are an AAP!

No previous sailing experience required, a fully qualified and experienced instructor will be running the course.
