Whilst I am delighted at the news that a second team returns to Basingstoke, the name choice is poor.

I appreciate the consistency of branding from the central operating bits the Nells do but there has been a second team in Basingstoke and its identity has been long established.

Basingstoke has a separate history to Swindon and Leeds. The team is the Buffalo and I would urge the folk in charge to do the right thing by the history of Basingstoke hockey as a result
