📢 MUG MOMENTO REVEAL
Whilst we're celebrating our inaugural Spring event, we're also looking back at the race which has been running now for over 40 years. We hope you like the snazzy mug momento in our Hardley colours 💜💛

📢 GANG WARILY/ 'GO CAREFULLY!'
Our half marathon begins and ends at Gang Warily — a name you might find a little unusual. It actually comes from a Scots phrase meaning ‘go carefully’ or ‘tread cautiously’. It was adopted as the motto of the Drummond family, who once owned the land before it was later sold to Fawley Parish Council.
It's rather apt, as unfortunately the starting and finishing field has been rather wet after all the recent rain. Pictured is the finishing straight on the 17th February 😬 It is improving, but please, 'gang warily' or 'go carefully' on the field!!

📢MEET YOUR HOSTS
Who's looking after the race? The Solent Half is proudly hosted by Hardley Runners. We're a small but friendly running club, based around Hythe, Hardley and the surrounding Waterside. We're lucky enough to have the forest and coast on our doorstep, and a diverse array of runners - from those who race almost every weekend, ultrarunners, parkrun attenders and those who like a chatty social run over the muddy forest! We're pleased to welcome you to our race, please say hi and thank you to our wonderful marshals and volunteers 💜

Celebrating a PB?! In need of a post race pint?! No worries, our neighbours and local favourites Vibrant Forest Brewery will be on hand to provide refreshment. Expect bold flavours, hazy pours and the best post race vibes in the New Forest! Rumour has it the post race debrief will be down at the taproom later on Sunday too 🤔
