Well done to all the ladies today you all played well, top team was Marion Jenny and Karen. They won 16-11 overall we won 41 to 34. Well done Debbie-on skipping excellent job close game well done to your team of Inna Emma and Mo. And less but no means least well done to my team of Jill and Susan who played extremely well. And also got a good win on there rink

Novice Challenge Final Friday 2 August 2024 at 4.30 location SO19 Ladies Bowling Club

Our first competition final for the Ladies Bowling Woolston.

We had a crowd to watch the final, Kirsty challenged Dot. Dot won the toss and the game began.

Jac was the marker (she got her steps in for the day, whilst adding to her fitness with stretching measuring bowls from the Jack.)

After much deliberation, bending & pacing the green, with applause, “oh’s & “ah’s” from fellow colleagues (members of the SO19 Ladies Bowling Club) & the men’s Club, Kirsty won the day.

Our “champion” Kirsty won the cup.

The Presentation then took place with an introduction from Jac. The Cup plus prize (bottle of wine) was awarded by Sonia (our President) to Kirsty and a miniature bottle of wine to Dot the runner up.

Fun was had by all on a sunny afternoon.
