Langley Manor CC Annual Junior Day 2026 π
What a day! π€© And what a long one! π΄
Our annual Junior Day was another huge success, with 36 children aged 6 to 15 coming together for our World Cup-themed cricket festival.
The effort everyone made with the team colours was fantastic β the children looked brilliant representing their countries and it really added to the atmosphere. ππ
One of the best parts of the day was seeing our whole junior section together for the first time this season. Watching our older juniors encourage, support and guide the younger players was something really special, and the younger children loved every minute of playing alongside them.
The day was full of smiles, laughter, teamwork, great sportsmanship and plenty of cricket. Days like this remind us what junior cricket is all about β having fun, making friends and creating memories that will last.
A huge thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped throughout the day. We couldnβt run events like this without your support.
Weβre already looking forward to next yearβs Junior Day! πππ

Bryan Ponting has been a constant in the New Forest community for over 20 years since his sons started playing. In that time, Bryan has held key positions at Langley Manor on the committee and as colts co ordinator and latterly, OTs and Romsey as a committee member. Bryan was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 4 years ago and has continued to battle bravely throughout that journey.
You will regularly see Bryan around all of the local grounds keeping watch on some of the young lads that he helped bring through the colts system and being a general lover of cricket in the New Forest. All donations and proceeds from the day will go towards helping Planets Charity continue to support people like Bryan fighting rare forms of cancer.
Bryan will be the honorary 12th man for the Planets XI and will lead the players out for the Menβs match.
