Friday work set-up…
Working from home is great but also has it’s own challenges. I have a desk in our spare bedroom but find staring at the same four walls boring at times, so change of scene to the kitchen it is, only problem is the close proximity to snacks 😂🍫

Sometimes you just need a hug 🥰

Hugging someone can release oxytocin and activate our parasympathetic nervous system which helps us relax and relieve stress.

Lucky for me my dog is always happy to cuddle 🐶

A great start to the week meeting a new client ✨
It’s been almost 3 weeks at home on my own, my partner returns at the end of this week from his solo travels.
Girl bossing running your own company and doing everything at home isn’t easy but feeling proud of myself for pushing through!

Loved speaking at Sandgrounders Business Club last night.
Always a bit nerve wracking talking about yourself but everyone was so receptive and supportive, a pleasure to be part of this network 🥰

According to the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), the UK’s employment gap between people with and without health limitations is amongst the widest in the EU 🤒

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that 2.8 million people in the UK were not working due to long-term sickness between December 2023 and February 2024.

The Covid pandemic affected ill-health unemployment across Europe but other countries have bounced back, so where is the UK falling down?

The IES have suggested that good HR, strong support, and evidence based interventions could really help UK organisations with ill-health.
