A great example of how working on a skill and the mechanics can help develop performance and range of motion

It’s often we avoid the tedious jobs of “mobility & Stretching” but without the room to expand how can we have room to grow ?

Here my client is working on shoulder stabilisation and HyperTrophy based performance. while focusing on the task at hand he is able to stable the shoulder while pressing above head, he is also focusing on maintaining a strong posture and core.
By focusing on pressing the kettlebell above head upside down with good balance he is taking the cognitive focus away from his restrictions in spinal Flexion and external rotation through the shoulder

Not all exercises that develop improvement in performance and remove restriction have to be heavy or Moving at 100mph …. But will still give you enough bang for buck until you see a clear improvement in the goal set.

Which in this case is to improve range of motion, remove tension and increase strength.

A common mistake is seeing a busy gym or having a cluttered head space and avoiding the warm up altogether.
In truth everyone at some point has been criminal to it. We’re human. Things happen.
