I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on the space that I occupy within the health and fitness industry and for a long time I’ve felt almost like an imposter; not muscly enough, not lean enough, not talented enough etc etc. The last 18 months has taught me exactly who I am and the space I occupy and it’s messages like this that confirm that.
As a coach I’m never going to promise the world. I won’t create a hyper competitive, egotistical environment. I won’t tell you you’re not good enough. I won’t judge.
What I will do is be honest. I will treat you as a whole. I will listen.
For some people this is a HARD journey; mentally, physically and emotionally. It won’t be quick, if anything with me it may be a slower journey than with other coaches but it will be sustainable and complete.
Thank you to my clients for allowing me to work with you, and thank you to my coaches and mentors for showing the power of kindness and patience.
Exciting news time ….. if you got this far.
Currently looking for 3 people to be my guinea pigs for my CCP qualification and I’m moving studios. Keep your eyes peeled!

Happy Father’s Day to the best father I could have ever asked for, my mum.
I’ve never had a relationship with my father. I’ve never met him and have no particular inclination to. So here’s a huge shoutout to all the kids out there with a single parent. And an even bigger shoutout to those parents doing it on their own.
Spoiler. It won’t get easier; you’ll just get more resilient. Times will get dark(er) but the light will shine brighter when it needs to. You are stronger than you think you are and you are not alone.

Wednesdays weigh in. Conflicted on posting this. I’ve been out of action for 5 weeks now with the moon boot so to have kept the same despite the comfort foods has been a win. One more week left …. Hopefully.

It’s rough and it’s a bit rusty but couldn’t resist picking up a bar with for an hour or so before I have to relearn everything again, this time with better ankle flexion (because that’s obviously why I’m s**t right now 🌚).

For those that don’t know, this is my right ankle from three years ago. What you can see is a break of the tibia (shin bone) and 2 complete breaks of the fibula. I did this teaching a class at Gymbox Bank and poor had to help carry me out of the gym with my foot literally hanging off ... no blood fortunately.
But rather unfortunately the ankle wasn’t corrected properly and no matter how much rehab has been done it’s never got better. Turns out I have bone shards in a ligament, a bone spur and broken metal work.
A week on Tuesday the plan is to have it all surgically corrected and then the rehab process starts. I’ll be documenting the whole rehab process but will take espresso martinis and cookies as moral support. 😘

I talk a lot with clients about “the journey”, not in some deeply spiritual way but in a sense that nothing in a linear path and there are lots of ups and downs in how things go.
New routines starting to come through, more care taken with food, lowered caffeine and increased water. ✌🏻
Saying this again, numbers and measurements are only to track and aren’t a defining factor, but the support process; behaviours and mindset are the priority.
