It’s been WAY too long since our last round at Misano. But, that means we’re getting closer to the start of the 2nd half of the season at Magnycours in France 🇫🇷

Mint weekend at the Lake District. First time hiking & have already felt I’ve got the bug for it 😂. Cat bells hike complete with just shy of 500m of climbing, scrambling, Ice Cream… successful couple of days!!

Mint day on Tuesday having a blast back round Cadwell. -
Funny coming back here after some time on much wider and open tracks, definitely a surprise not having the run off I’ve taking for granted whilst being away 😂.

It’s been a long way since my injury in September 2025. After 2 surgeries, 1 plate & 7 screws later, I’m very pleased to say I’ve smashed 2 of my running PB’s last weekend! Saturday’s 5k Park run with a mega time of 18:08, and Sundays 10k race pipping just under the 40 minute mark of a 39:55 😋.

So, for this I’d like to say a huge thank you to my personal trainer Mark Walker cycling coach for setting out the correct training and rehab programs to ensure I have returned back to full fitness without any strange aches or pains along the way. I trust Mark all the way and very thankful to have him in my corner for the advice on training, diet, recovery & mindset.

On top of this, I’d like to give a massive shoutout to CH2RGE for the product sponsorship of their Hydrogen water cans, providing recovery drinks helping me after a hard weekend 🥵.

Huge congratulations to Jacob Dessoy from Thurrock Swimming Club, who shone at this year’s National Junior Para Championships in Coventry. 🏊‍♂️

Training at Blackshots Leisure Centre, with Impulse Leisure, Jacob delivered an incredible set of swims, including personal bests in:

✅100m free PB (1:23.97)
✅5‑second PB in the 200m free (3:00.93)
✅15‑second PB in the 400m free (6:03.88)

He even came within 0.09 seconds of his 50 free best! 🏅

Outstanding effort, Jacob; well done! 🌟

On the back foot this weekend, but not through a lack of trying. Misano was a new circuit for me and proved to be super technical, and i found it super tricky to find some good pace and click with the track.
-
In race 2, I had the best feeling with the bike, made improvements alone, understood the circuit better and taken the positives into the next round.

A big break now, but training hard and will be better prepared for Magnycours.
