Welcome back to Team of the Week at Spalding United Youth FC! β½οΈ
Another weekend, another fantastic set of performances across the club, and this week we have 18 players recognised by their managers for their effort, attitude, teamwork and individual performances.
β OUR WEEK 2 NOMINEES β
π΅ U8 Blues | Arthur | DEF
Solid at the back with some great defending, rounded off with a calmly finished goal from a well-worked corner.
π΅ U8 Blues | W***y B | Midfield
An absolute powerhouse with some great work rate, covering most of the pitch and making some superb last-ditch tackles.
π΅ U9 Blues | Flynn
Set up multiple goals and scored a couple for himself. Came back to defend and worked hard.
βͺ U9 Whites | Rex | Midfield
Great energy, great passing and rewarded with 2 good goals.
βͺ U9 Whites | Louie
Solid in defence with great tackles, moved to midfield and ran his socks off, doing everything but score, then went in goal to finish it off. A great team player.
π΅ U10 Blues | Corben | Midfield
Covered loads of the pitch in Saturdayβs game, made some good challenges and had a solid performance.
βͺ U12 Whites | Theo | CAM
Came up against some big physical players this weekend and showed great desire in everything he did. Scored the first goal of the game with a brilliant finish and linked everything up all game. Great to see him playing with a smile on his face.
π‘ U12 Yellows | Max
Great performance from Max today, really solid at the back.
π΄ U12 Reds | Chester G.
Great work ethic. Scored the goal that finally broke down a tough back line and was a constant threat. Again, it was tough to single anyone out. They were all great.
π΅ U13 Blues | Nico | Striker
A great performance today. Played up front on his own for most of the game, carved out a few chances and grabbed a great, well-taken goal. Well done, keep it up!
π‘ U13 Yellows | Joe Petherick | GK
Amazing performance from our new No.1. Pulled off some huge saves throughout the game and had the opposition manager enquiring where we found him. A great debut.
π΅ U14 Girls Blue | Charlotte M. | Left Wing
Worked hard up and down the left all game, beating her fullback and defending when needed. A tireless performance.
π΅ U15 Blues | Harry Clarckson | RW
Hat-trick hero to help Spalding secure their first 3 points of the season. β½οΈβ½οΈβ½οΈ
βͺ U15 Whites | Seb Hurn
A great defensive performance.
βͺ U15 Whites | Raj Tamber-Hardy | Midfield
Was exceptional in the midfield.
π΅ U16 Blues | Cal Hawley
Was a threat all game going forward but did the dirty work out of possession too.
π΅ U18 Blue Girls | Mia | CM
Pulled the strings in the centre of the pitch. Technical ability with controlled aggression and threaded some lovely through balls to the strikers. A fantastic debut performance!
π΅ U18 Blues | Humberto | CM
First game for us and was superb. Tried his hardest to get us the points but we just couldnβt finish. A baller with huge potential. Canβt wait to see him develop.
