League Match
V Broughty United Youth Football Club

We played Broughty today for the 2nd time already this season but this time in league duty ...... always a team that play fast attacking football and well beat us last time.

Pre match we told the kids keep themselves compact and hard to break down and look to get the ball down then play ...... last about 3 mins before we conceded a cheap goal 🫣
Rest of 1st half was pretty even with both teams having spells on top
HT 0-1

2nd half was much the same with both teams looking to try to get some control in the match.
Archie pulled off an incredible save from a fantastic header to keep us in it 👏
We conceded again through a penalty to make it 0-2 but the kids responded well.
Edward knocked in a goal to get us back in after a great delivery from Atholl and a wonderful header from Harry to set Edward up.
Looked like we would have to settle for a narrow defeat when Christian played a through ball to Edward who slotted home the last minute equaliser 💪
FT 2-2

East Region Cup

We travelled up to Scone Thistle 2013 today to play the 1st Round of the Regional Cup.

Unfortunately it was probably the flattest performance I have seen from us as we were well beaten by Scone .......just too many players off the boil today and something we need to work on as a group.

We lacked a certain hunger today and lost out on too many 1st and 2nd balls, then when we did get it we struggled to get it under control and play some football.

Credit due to Scone - they wanted it more, played good football.and took their chances well.

We dust ourselves off and look to try to get some consistency in our game

Goals:
Kai ⚽️⚽️

Players Player of the Match - Harry ...... he was the the one player that showed he wanted and was endless in his pressing and covering back .....some shift from him today 💪

Jack also deserves a mention for being the one player to put his foot on the ball and trying to get us playing 🌟

Not the result we wanted but that is football ....... we learn, we work hard and we go again
